1. Open the Computer window on your PC: Either double-click the Computer icon on the desktop, or open the Start menu and choose Computer.

2. Click the DVD drive icon: Clicking the icon selects that drive.

3. Right click on it and choose 'Eject' from the drop-down list.

OR
Try the following only if the above steps didn't work or in times of urgency, such as when the computer is locked up (or turned off), you can manually eject a disc/cd by pushing a straightened paper clip into the tiny hole (the "beauty mark") on the front of the DVD drive.

There are to many option through you can put your CD out.
1- Go to my computer. Right click on CD-ROM and select the option eject.
2-CD-ROM has its own button to come out.
3-On CD-Rom there is a little hole like a dot. Put a common pin in it and slowly push it. The CD-Rom tray will come on even the CD is broken or stuck.

Thank you!

My boyfriend put a administrative password on my acer extensa 5620z in safe mode how do i remove it or change it?

You can remove or change the Window's User or administrator's password. You need access to a computer with Internet access to download the Hiren's Boot CD and burn it onto a CD. Then insert this CD into the laptop/computer and boot up the laptop/computer with the Hiren's CD and follow the instructions. There are very useful utilities CD and it a Linux boot CD which contains quite a lot of Utility programs including a password removal program. I do not know how to put a CD in this computer. why can't I find an instruction manual ? You take my money & won't help me.......

if you mean a cd drive
make sure that there is no power input to the computer before proceeding
you will need to remove the side panels from your computer they might have screws or clips to gain access to free space for your cd drive there should be 4 phillips type (star ) screws 2 on either side and an electrical power supply and a ribbon type lead
once you have screwed these and connected the power lead just slide the cd into the space provided on the computer
or if you mean just a cd just press the the tab to open the drawer on the cd drive and insert your cd
hope this helps

I put in a cd and it now wont recognize the drive at all. i can't get the disc out, no idea how to fix it

Hi Laurenleighd

Have a look at your CD/DVD drive and you will see a small pin hole that about the size of a needle. You can take a straightened paperclip and push it in there to open the CD dirve manualy. After you've removed it, try another CD that you know is working and see if you have the same problem. If this CD also get stuck in there then we know the CD/DVD ROM may be faulty.

Is this a Dell Laptop or Desktop?
Can you open and close the Drive with or without anything inside it?
Can you hear any noise coming from CD/DVD ROM when you insert a CD?
What Happens when you insert any other CDs or DVDs that you know is working fine?

When you open your MY Computer/Computer in the Start Menu, Can you see the drive there, or is it not showing the CD dirve there at all?
If the you are 100% sure this is not a power issue, then it might be the CD/DVD driver that needs to be re-installed.

Hope this helps

Can i download music from my cd onto my sd card to put in my phone?

Yes of course you can, insert to the Cd into the CD-Drive, connect the phone to your computer using the Usb cable so that you can open up the Memory Card onto your computer, now open the contents of the Cd, copy the music you want to and paste it on your memory card's music (songs) folder. Keep on doing this until you have transferred all the songs you want to. After that disconnect the usb and remove the phone and the CD, now check your phone.

If you need further help, let me know.

Good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Need to find out how to install my memorex double layer 16x

Ok here is what you need to do. Open the box that the driver came in and also the side panel of your computer. Remove the cables that are attached to the current CD-ROM drive and if you need to unscrew the screws that are holding the CD-ROM drive in place which you'll need a phillips screw driver for. Remove the old CD-ROM and put in the new one and reconnect the cables to the new one. If an installation disk came with it then put that in the CD-ROM drive and install whatever is on that disk. Afterwards you should be ready to go. If you need anything else please let me know!

Error when trying to reinstall Dell Vostro 1500 Computer Software

Hello,

Maybe you haven't removed your virus completely, some viruses (like Brontok.B/Worm ) disable some administrative features, and unable you to install new software...
So, if you can't remove the virus, do a fresh install of Windows ... Of course, which came with your laptop. Or I you aren't sure how to do that, call someone with a bit more experience. It's not a big deal .

I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO INSTALL A CD-ROM DRIVE INTO MY E-MACHINE..

Step1 Turn off your computer and unplug. Remove the left and right side panels.

Step2 Remove the covering of the drive bay that you plan to use for your new CD/DVD Drive.

Step3 Set the jumper. This is the most difficult part involved with the installation process. If you only have one drive for your system set your jumper on the back the drive to Master. If you have two or more set it to slave. Consult your drives manual to see a picture of what a master/slave jumper configuration looks like. It is best to have the fastest drive set as the master.

Step4 After you have set the jumpers insert the drive into the empty drive bay you selected.

Step5 Secure your CD/DVD drive to your computers chassis with screws and a screwdriver. Mounting screws are typically included with your drive.

Step6 Locate and connect the required power and IDE cables to the back of the drive. These cables are keyed, meaning they are shaped specifically for that drive. It's impossible to install the wrong cables.

Step7 Put the side panels back on and plug your computer back in. Turn it on and your computer should recognize the new drives. If they are not recognized you may need to install the drivers, which are usually included on a CD that's included with your new drive.

I hope that helps. If you have any more questions, let me know.

Start up problem

If there is either a Floppy disk, CD/DVD, or USB key in the computer, remove them and try again.

If this does not help, you may need to do a repair with a Windows CD, but not sure if you have one?
