After removing toner cartridges error display said replace various colour toners.

Opened up to clean out toner spills. When closed again "Install yellow toner" alternating with "Install cyan toner" messages displayed.

  • Anonymous May 09, 2009

    Problem solved.
By using the digital re-setter I bought for resetting cartridges after refilling toner, the problem went away. Looks like when cartridges get removed it sets the built-in toner level to empty, causing the printer to prompt installing a new one. At the price of refills, imaging unit and transfer belt, I will soon be buying a Brother printer to replace this one. I need duplexing & the Xerox has been OK, but I think it is nearing the end of its useful life.

F2-40 ERROR

Hi,

I am assuming your copier is a mono copier only & not full colour, if this is so then the error code refers to a toner supply fault. If you remove the toner cartridge & gently shake it side to side, turn the machine off & then on, refit the toner cartridge & check to see if the machine has reset. If the error is displayed again you may have to replace the toner cartridge with a new one. Again, powering the machine off & on should reset the error message.
Hope this helps.

Fix-ya

If you have replaced the toner cartridge but it is still displaying "low toner: Try the following:
Open the front cover of the machine and turn off the power
Hold down the "Go" button and power the machine back on, while holding down the button.
All the lights should light up, when they do release the button.
Press the "Go" button once and the lights will go out.
Press the "Go" button once or twice till the Toner/Drum/Paper lights are on again.
Now tap the "Go" button 6 time and all the lights should go out.
Close the cover and turn the machine off and then on again.
OR
Open the cover of the machine and remove the drum and toner.
Remove the toner from the drum unit and put just the drum unit into the machine.
The machine should indicate "toner empty".
Open cover and re install the drum and toner together - Close cover.

Hp clj 2025 cleaning

I had the same problem and it was the pick-up roller that was at fault. You can buy a new one for less than 20GBP or do what I did. Take the old one out and reverse the rubber. There are plenty of online tutorials on how to change the pick-up roller - the first one you remove. It's a two minute job. Reversing the rubber is easy. Just prize the inner clip out of the roller and put the rubber back on with the shiny side out. It worked first time and no more print errors. Cartridges error on a lexmark

Error: "Invalid Toner Cartridge"; Error: "Invalid Refill"; Message: "Change Cartridge"
Solution
One of these error messages may appear on the printer display immediately after or shortly after a new toner cartridge is installed into the printer. Note: This may not be specifically a toner cartridge problem; the error may be due to a stuck cover open switch on the printer.

To see if the cover open switch is the cause of this problem, open the top front cover and observe the message on the printer's display panel. The display should read Close Door or Insert Cartridge.

If this message is not displayed, the top cover open sensor and switch will need to be replaced. In addition, the printer may have damaged the new toner cartridge. If the cover open sensor is not operating properly, a new cartridge can be incorrectly flagged as a refilled cartridge by the printer. If this happens, the new cartridge will continue to cause an Invalid Refill or Invalid Cartridge error even if you try reinstalling it or installing it into another printer. If this should occur, please contact the point of purchase of the cartridge to find out how to get the cartridge replaced.

Caution: If the cover open sensor is not operating, do not install another new toner cartridge until you have completed the directions below. Inserting another new cartridge can cause that cartridge to stop working as well. Should this situation arise, please take the following actions:

Place the original working cartridge (the empty or near-empty one) back into the printer. This should clear the error message.

Turn the printer off. Doing this will disengage the cover open sensor.

With the printer switched off, open the top lid and remove the old toner cartridge.

Now replace the old cartridge with another new Lexmark toner cartridge.

Power the printer back on. The printer should now read this cartridge as a newly installed toner cartridge and the error should be cleared. The printer and toner cartridge should function properly now, but the top cover sensor on the printer will still need to be replaced.

If your printer is still under warranty or covered under a service contract, please contact Lexmark Technical Support or your service provider for further recommendations and instructions. Until you can get the cover open switch replaced, remember to have the printer powered off whenever you replace the toner cartridge.

If the top cover switch appears to be working fine, or if you have followed the above steps and your printer continues to post an Invalid Toner Cartridge or Invalid Refill error, make sure you are using a new original Lexmark toner cartridge. A toner cartridge remanufactured or refilled by a third party can cause this error.

To help identify a refilled cartridge, look for the yellow label attached to the toner drum and the body of the toner cartridge. If this is damaged or removed, the cartridge may have been refilled.

If you are using a third-party refilled or remanufactured toner cartridge, it is recommended that you install a new Lexmark brand toner cartridge. Lexmark cannot guarantee the compatibility of any third-party toner cartridges with our printers.

OR

1 Switch on the Lexmark X83 printer.

2 Lift open the cartridge door at the front of the device, below the scanner unit. The printer automatically moves the cartridge carrier to the correct position.

3 Pull each ink cartridge toward you to unclasp it from the carrier. Lift the cartridge out of the cartridge carrier.

4 Clean the copper contacts on the bottom of each cartridge with a clean, dry lint-free cloth. Use a gentle, circular motion to clean the contacts.

5 Insert the ink cartridges back into the cartridge carrier. Push back firmly on each cartridge until it snaps into place.

6 Repeat each step in this procedure again. Close the cartridge door.

Brand new lexmark original cartridge is not recognised. error report' no cartridge'. all contacts cleaned machine dismantled and cleaned and reassembled. has done this before on occasion with refilled...

1. Open the top front cover of the printer. If the display DOES NOT read Close cover or Insert cartridge, the 32 error is not caused by the toner cartridge and printer service will be required to fix the problem.

2. Make sure the correct toner cartridge is installed for this printer model.
1. Check Lexmark for a list of compatible cartridges for your printer.
2. If the wrong toner cartridge is installed, remove it and install the correct one.

3. If the correct toner cartridge is installed, it may not be seated correctly. To ensure that this is not the cause of the error, do the following:
1. Turn off the printer.
2. Reseat the toner cartridge.
3. Close the lid.
4. Power the printer back on and check the display.

4. If reseating the toner cartridge does not clear the error message and the error started as soon as you installed this particular toner cartridge, the cartridge may be broken. You can check this as follows:
1. Power off the printer and then reinstall the old cartridge. (You can also try a different new cartridge to see if that clears the error.)
2. If the error does disappear, the problem may lie with this cartridge. Please contact the point of purchase, especially if the cartridge is brand new out of the box.

5. If the error cannot be cleared by putting in a new toner cartridge or one that is known to be working, the printer may require service to fix the problem.

The screen on my Phaser 6110 MFP says "Remove/Install Waste toner tank." I don't know what that is.

The life of the waste toner container unit is approximately 1,250 pages

for full color 5% image printing or 5,000 images for black printing. When

the life span of the waste toner container has expired, Replace/Install

Waste Toner Tank appears on the display of the control panel,

indicating the waste toner container needs to be replaced. Otherwise

your printer stops printing.

To replace the waste toner container:

1 Turn the machine off, then wait a few minutes for the machine to

cool.

2 Open the front cover.

3 Pull the waste toner container out of the machine using its handle.

4 Remove the container's cap from the container as shown below,

and use it to close the waste toner container opening.

5 Take a new waste toner container out of its package.

Tip

Make sure that you lay the waste toner container on a flat

surface so that the toner does not spill.

Caution

Do not tilt or turn the tank over.

6 Insert the new container into position and then push it to make sure

that it is firmly seated in place.

7 Close the front cover firmly.

8 Turn the machine on.

Caution

If the front cover is not completely closed, the machine will not

operate.

Tip

After rebooting, your machine will automatically reset the
counter for the waste toner container

The printer is giving me service error E527 what can be done to overcome this error

Hi Good day!!!

This error message "Service Req E527" means that the toner carousel housing the toner cartridges is obstructed, or is unable to rotate correctly. It can be caused by installing a toner cartridge incorrectly.

Solution 1:Check that the toner cartridge at the front of the printer is installed correctly.

Solution 2: Manually remove all of the toner cartridges.
Close all the covers, and then power the printer off.Open Cover B, and then remove the photo conductor unit (PCU).Turn the toner carousel by hand to line up a toner cartridge with the front of the printer.Open Cover A.If the toner cartridge is not in position to remove it, close Cover A and repeat the steps above.Remove the toner cartridge, and then close Cover A.Repeat all the steps above until you have removed all four toner cartridges.Reinstall the PCU.Close all the covers, and then power on the printer.Open Cover A and Cover B.Check thoroughly for any jammed paper, foreign objects or damaged parts. If you can locate an obstruction, remove it. Then, close all the covers and restart the printer again. If you can identify any damaged parts, there is an obstruction you cannot remove, or there is no change after restarting the printer, then contact Epson for further advice.Reinstall the toner cartridges (Follow the prompts on the LCD display), and then test the printer.

Does anyone know how to reset the toner levels in an HL3040, i have put new colour toners in and each is still showing empty

Hey, I've just figured this out myself. Here is the procedure:
1. Open the front cover that gives you access to the toners. 2. Press and hold "Secure Print" and "Cancel" at the same time. You will see "K-TNR-STD" display on the screen. 3. Using the "+" and "-" buttons select the toner you want to reset. 4. Press the "Ok" button. 5. It will display "Ok?" and hit the "Ok" button again to reset the toner. 6. Close the lid.
All done!

Xerox phaser 7300 toner cartridge problems

Hi,
Sometimes on this machine as there is a lot of loose toner around it can cover over the sensors in the machine, what I would advise is to remove all the toner cartridges and check for the copper contacts on both the machine and under the imagining unit (which the toner is placed in). Once you have cleaned that away slowly close the lid and reboot the machine and it should return to normal. Its just toner getting caught up in the sensors. Follow the instructions below, when you remove the unit, lift it over your head to find the copper contacts and clean them, be careful not to spill toner everywhere. Good luck!

Reseating the imaging unit
    Remove the toner cartridge:
  1. Open the top cover.

  2. Identify the color of the toner cartridge to be replaced (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow or Black).
