Yes there is a filter in tank but cant be removed, dump gas out of tank and leave gas cap off place a rag over tank to catch any gas that you couldnt remove doesnt blow all over then take your air hose and blow through the gas line this will clean the filter after you do this place a can under gas line to catch gas and put a little gas in the tank to see if your problem is solved .

How to replace fuel lines craftsman 316.292620

Initially release any clips by squeezing with a pliers and pushing back along the line. Lines can be prised off using a snipe nose pliers or flat blade screw driver, pushing on the edge of the line. Don't pull the lines which can stretch them. Two fuel lines leave the tank of a two stroke engine. The primer bulb sucks gas from the tank via the line with the filter on the end, gas returns to the tank via the other line without the filter. When you replace a line, to check whether they haven't been mixed up, fill the tank but leave the line without the filter above the level of the gas. When you push the primer bulb, gas should eventually squirt out the line without the filter. If the lines are mixed up, air bubbles will flow out of the filter and no gas out the other line.

Looking for location of fuel filter

Your fuel filter is located inside of your gas tank. There may be an access panel under your back seat. If not, you'll have to drop your gas tank to gain access to your fuel filter and fuel pump.

first check for spark/ no spark, replace coil/ have spark/pull the fuel line off at carb and let flow into gas can, see if it keeps flows then slows/ replace fuel filter OR clean gas tank, it might have a filter in the tank also.
a jumper wire can be used to excite the fuel shut off solenoid on the carburetor if so equipped. also scotch lock can be used to bypass seat and clutch saftey switches for testing/diagnostic troubleshooting purposes.
let me know how you do

The gas doesn't have any pressure coming from the tank to the engine. I believe its the filter inside the tank. How do I get the filter out.

There MAY be a way to access it from under the rear seat or under the floor of the drunk. Remove carpet and rear seat to find out.
Otherwise, you'll have to drop the tank out in order to get to the filter. Before you continue with this, have you tried disconnecting the fuel line from the engine and turned the key on? The electric fuel pump (also in the fuel tank) only works when the key is in the 'on' position. You may have a fuel pump issue, not a clogged filter.
Also, there are probably two fuel lines going to the engine. One is going to the engine, the other is a return line going back to the fuel tank. Make sure you take off the right fuel line. If you remove the return line, you won't get any pressure anyway.

Where is the fuel filter located on 1997 honda cbr 600

I have a 1996 CBR 600F3. Mine is directly under the gas tank. Where the gas tank meets the seat. If you remove the single top bolt for the gas tank and the lower bolt for the gas tank you can lift the tank a little. Then you will see the rubber gas fuel line. The filter will be in-line.

I've got bad gas and need to know the easiest way to drain the tank or otherwise fix the problem.

The tank will have to be removed from the vehicle and completely dried out.Gas tanks no longer have drain plugs as they did 50 years ago.Remove the fuel pump from the top of the tank, and thoroughly clean the tank with brake cleaner and compressed air and let air dry for awhile. The fuel pump and filter will need to be replaced with new,and after all the reinstallation, the fuel line must be disconnected at the engine, and the line flushed with new, clean gasoline as well as the return fuel line.Spark plugs will have to be replaced also.
