SOURCE: No cold air
if unit is more than 5 yrs old dump it!!! most frigidaire models just dont last...that is why they are so cheap...get it???
SOURCE: Frigidaire air conditioner - no cool air coming out.
if you used it alot, i would check it for freon.
checkthe air filter, make sure it's not dirty.
check the front panel, make sure there's no "ice/frost" in the unit.
SOURCE: AC not cooling enough
Probably low on refrigerant, if valve moves when heated it is working, assuming the system is matched.

SOURCE: Blowing cold air instead of the heat
Heater coil has possibly burnt out. his coil is located rightr behing the front coil of the a/c You need to pull the unit from its sleeve and look inside behind the a/c coil and there it is. It looks like the inside of a toaster the elements should be incased in a metal box. What causes the burn out is 1 poor air flow over coils due to dirty filter or dirty coil, 2 dust build up, the minute particals the get through the unit 's filter and build up over time causing burnout, 3 possible high limit switch on the coil housing itself. This switch prevents the heater from overheating and causing a fire. Have this look at by a tech the cost incurred isn't really that much.
Good luck on your repair hope this helped

SOURCE: my ac is not blowing cold air
The unit may be low on refrigerant. There is probably a low pressure switch in the unit to protect the compressor so it wont turn on and get damaged beyond repair. You can take it to your local appliance repair shop and have it looked at. I would get a quote on repair first. Most of the time it is cheaper to buy a new unit than it is to pay just the labor to have it repaired.
