I have a Samsung AQV24JAX Split-type air cond unit. AC is great in summer; but heating is a problem in winter; if temp gets below 25 them feels like it blows cool air, not warm! In NC so temp doesn't get below 25 very often, but when it does not comfortable with this unit. What is the fix?

SOURCE: Frigidaire air conditioner - no cool air coming out.

if you used it alot, i would check it for freon.
checkthe air filter, make sure it's not dirty.
check the front panel, make sure there's no "ice/frost" in the unit.

SOURCE: AC not cooling enough

Probably low on refrigerant, if valve moves when heated it is working, assuming the system is matched.

SOURCE: Blowing cold air instead of the heat

Heater coil has possibly burnt out. his coil is located rightr behing the front coil of the a/c You need to pull the unit from its sleeve and look inside behind the a/c coil and there it is. It looks like the inside of a toaster the elements should be incased in a metal box. What causes the burn out is 1 poor air flow over coils due to dirty filter or dirty coil, 2 dust build up, the minute particals the get through the unit 's filter and build up over time causing burnout, 3 possible high limit switch on the coil housing itself. This switch prevents the heater from overheating and causing a fire. Have this look at by a tech the cost incurred isn't really that much.

Good luck on your repair hope this helped

SOURCE: my ac is not blowing cold air

The unit may be low on refrigerant. There is probably a low pressure switch in the unit to protect the compressor so it wont turn on and get damaged beyond repair. You can take it to your local appliance repair shop and have it looked at. I would get a quote on repair first. Most of the time it is cheaper to buy a new unit than it is to pay just the labor to have it repaired.

You decide what temp you need.

To get proper cold air set temp 23 degree and mode"cool". To get heat set temp 30 degree and mode in "Heat"

Hi I have an Amcoraire aos121hx mini split, it worked great last summer and this past winter. Haven't used it for a few months and now when I try to get cold or heat it gives a P8 error?

Check the gas pressure by depressing the Schroeder valve under the cap where the gas pipes enter the outdoor unit. you have probably lost some or all of your gas

No AC from older Intertherm split system

It sounds like you are low on refridgerant. Double check to make sure both fans and the compressor are running. If so then you have a refridgerant problem.

AC not cooling during the day

Your AC cooling efficiency is low when he ambient temperature is high and naturally it cools well when the outside temperature drops.

Please remove the filter on the grill and try to clean it under the tap water and after removing all the dust fix it back to the unit. This would increase the cooling efficiency of the unit.

Your AC is also five years old. Please avoid frequent opening of doors or windows.

Ensure that the exhaust fan and the blower of your unit are functioning normal.

The technician might not have done a proper job in fixing the area where the refrigerant would have leaked out. Please check the refrigerant pressure to ensure that no further refrigerant leak has taken place. Or even servicing your unit he would have punchered the tubes resulting in very slow leak of refrigerant resulting in no cooling or less cooling. It takes around a month to feel the pinch of it and the refrigerant. One fine morning after sometime the unit will run and it would start throwing hot air instead of cool breeze!

AC WON'T COOL

Sounds like you have a freon leak or your compressor has stopped working. You will probably need a service tech. If it is out of freon, don't let them just add more freon, make them find and repair the leak first. Good Luck.
