Make sure your MP3 player is connected to the computer, if for some reason it does not want to sync, go to My computer, open the dialog that shows your mp3 folders. If there is a Music file open it the go to the file on your computer that has the MP3 music files and open up the file until you see the individual music folders. Click in the screen (not on any folders though) then press ctrl a which selects everything, then ctrl c which copies everything then click in the MP3 folder and press ctrl v which pastes everything to it. If you only want a few of the items in from your computer music file then choose the folder you want, right click on the folder the choose copy then click in the MP3 window and right click then choose paste. I have had the same problem with a few MP3 players but this should work.

I am unable to down loag CD on to my new GoGear Mix Mp3 player the instructions are none existant

MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. You can download mp3 music files from the Internet toyour computer and then copy them to your MP3 player using the USB cable. For your CD collection, you need to convert your CDs tomp3 music files onto your computer or download them from the Internet and thencopy them to your MP3 player after you have connected the USB cable tothe MP3 player and the computer.
You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player willcreate a MP3 music file for each music track.Click on this link for instruction on converting musicfiles to mp3 file format :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r5798418-creating_transferring_mp3_music_files

How do i get music on my mp3 player

If you are goin to download music from your computer
first you need a data cable that will connect your mp3 player to your computer. You should have gotten one with the player
i download music from a free music download site. most downloadable music is already in mp3 format so you just have to drag and drop the music. after you connect the mp3 player to your computer the computer should recognize it and list it in my computer along with the hard drive and cd rom drives. there are a couple of ways of adding music from here. you can copy and paste music from your computer, to do this you just have to click on the mp3 player in my computer, a page should open that says internal memory this is the internal memory of the mp3 player click on that, a list of folders should come up. there should be one for photos and one for videos, a few others and one for music. if you copy a song or group of songs from wherever in your computer that you have your music stored you can click back to the folder page. left click on the songs and click copy then click back to the internal memory page, put your mouse pointer over the music folder, left click and hit copy the song or songs will be copied into the music folder and can be accessed in the mp3 player. remember you can hold the control button down on your keyboard and select as many songs as you want to copy. If you want to transfer songs from a music cd you have to first load the cd and transfer the music to your computer. then you have to use a convertor, they are downloadable on the internet for free, then convert the music that you took off the cd to an mp3 format and then use the same steps as above to put the music on your mp3 player. If you are familiar with using your windows explorer on your computer you can open it and just drag the files from the folders they are in into the internal memory folders of your mp3 player.
On a lot of mp3 players the webpage for the product has a program that allows you to convert files and put them onto your mp3 player in one step. you could check the website for the product to see if they offer one.

Can't down load

Downloads from CD will work without problem. Downloads from a music service will be a problem, because this player does not recognize DRM- encryption. Convert those songs that won't work to Mp3 format with an Mp3 converter.

Ipod & itunes libary

you need to create a seperate profile on your computer, on winXp you can do this from the USERS Menu in the control panel.

When you turn your computer on, you should then see the welcome screen, (which allows you tyo choose the profile to use)

he will then have a seperate profile, and a seperate iTunes library to you.

you can then Share your iTunes Library so that he can access your tunes from his profile.

Shuffle not taking music from a CD

One thing to remember is to make the songs mp3. Edit --> Preferences --> Advanced (tab) --> Importing (tab). Under Import Using make sure 'MP3 Encoder' is selected. If the music is already in your libary click click a song and click 'convert selection to mp3'. If the music is not in your libary simply import it and it will automaticly be in mp3 format.

Cant scronize

You need to use the original Philips software rather than Media Player. Windows Media Player is supported but it requires a special driver (otherwise it just sees the MP3 player as a drive). There is a database on the player which needs to be updated when new music is added.
