Honda Ex2800c generator won't run for more than 5 seconds. When it shuts down the oil safety light comes on. I made sure there was oil and I'm not on a slant. Still did the same thing. Changed the oil level sensor in the crankcase and added new oil. Still the same problem. Anyone know if the module housing the oil safety light and output light may be suspect? Any ideas?
DId you change the oil filter when you changed the oil I am assuming it has one.
If it has a filter some of them have a check valve in side and this valve may not be operating properly. Also you might try rolling it over a few times with the pressure sensor removed and see if oil spurts out the opening. If so then the problem may be the oil pump not building up oil pressure, or the motor may have a board looking for the oil pressure sensor to close (or open depending on how its engineered) and the sensor board is not working properly or not grounded good. Try cleaning the battery cables just in case (assuming it ahs a battery).

Its sure that its missing oil at the engine.Modern engines have a oil alert dispositive. Check oil level,if it is low, just fill with more oil at carter engine.
change the oil to the correct specification first. As the engine runs the heat changes the viscosity and overheats or trips the oil alert switch. If its over 10 years old change the oil alet magnetic switch
The toggle switch automatically resets all faults when it is turned to the off position. I would turn the toggle switch off, turn off the breaker on the generator and then turn off all the loads in the house except a few lights. Turn the generator breaker back on, then turn the toggle switch back to automatic. If it starts and stays running, you were overloading the generator. Turn on other loads slowly and keep track of what is on so you don't overload it again. If it still does not stay on, you may have a problem with the panel. Let me know what happens.
Check the oil. Many of these units have a safety switch that will shut off the unit if the oil is low. It doesn't take much on some of these. Or, just add a little oil and give it a try, it certainly won't hurt it.
