The drum unit is based into your printer. You have to open the front cover door and take out the drum unit along with all color toner cartridges. For more information on replacing your drum unit check this useful information.
Hi MM. That code means the cyan drum is fried,OR the CLC 2400 "thinks" the cyan drum is defective as the copier has done a self diagnostic and determined that the most likely problem is the cyan drum. You must run alot of color(duh.....clc) and so if I were you I would consider if it might not be a good time to replace more than the cyan drum. Perhaps all 4. Easy for me to tell you to spend all that money. It's possible that the sensors that monitor the quality of the colors is merely dirty. But I'm afraid either way you will need "Copier Dude" to stop by.I wish I had better news but at least you will have a basis to start from. Take care.
Did you buy a whole new drum unit, or just change the cartridge? If so, the fuse may still be blown. Also, you may need to empty the spent toner out of the old cartridge.
Replacing the fuse is only half the job. You also need to empty all the spent toner out of the drum as well. I actually drilled a 1/4 inch hole, poured out all the purple toner, and covered the hole with an old 5 1/4 floppy write protect tab. Any good piece of heat resistant tape should do. Then replace the fuse. Make sure that the contacts the fuse rests on are clean as well.
try installing it again, first turn off the printer.and then turnit on again. if that wount help, under the cartridge in left or right side, there is a small fuse, you can testit with tester, is it OK, if not, by new fuse
Pleas check the imagine unit drum, is it clean or does there are the same marks as in paper.
if yes, the IU drum cleaning or drum itself is damaged and needs to be replaced.
Try:
after sending a print job, when printer has take a paper from tray, open cover, open cover before the paper enter the fusing unit, then you can see, if the mark is allready in the paper then the problem is in the IU or toner cartridge, if not, then fusing unit rollers.
