Blue splotches on screen

you can fix the dimmed look to the tv by purchasing a new ballast for the DLP bulb.



The spots are non-repairable as they are in the light engine assembly and those are nearly $500-$600 and very labor intense to install.

I have a Hitachi Ultravision. 55VS69A. It has worked wonders but now there is a blue screen in the center of the tv. Should I just replace the bulb. thank you.

On a projection television you will have to replace all three(red,blue,green) projection guns in a matched set, the reason is if you replace just the green gun, your picture will be over saturated with green light making your picture look green,because the new gun will be alot brighter than the red and blue guns.
With that said, repair will cost approx.$400+, I've heard up to$600. Good luck !

That is going to be a failure of the light engine itself. The part number for that is UX25302R. The part is not a user replaceable part due to the complexity to remove and reinstall the new one. my tv is green the colors say that there 100 percent but the yellow is at 0 does that mean i need a new lamp, bulb or what?

You have convergence problem. Either bad connections on ics, ics are bad or voltages to convergence circuit are missing. There are no bulbs in this set. 3 picture tubes,red,green and blue produce a picture than when alighned(converged) correctly on top of each other gives you a color picture.When not you get the effect you are describing. Frst you can try the magic focus in the menu.

Blue color has shifted. two months ago it had shifted slightly. Now it has shifted more. All three bulbs are working. Please suggest a solution.
