SCART Cables come in two kinds 9 pin and 21 pin ensure you are using correct type in user manual. What other connections are available to you?

Look in audio menu or setup menu to make sure the speakers did not get switched off----check set or a box if used for same or volume turned all the way down---speakers being switched off is the most common cause or the audio circuit has failed.

I assume that since you do not have remote you cannot choose another AV channel on your TV. If so you can use the RF input using a RF converter to AUDIO /VIDEO or if not the sky input must be shared through a VCR/DVD or multimedia/DTS amplifier

Is your JVC a HD TV? If not, it may because you haven't switched the xbox av plug in the back to regular tv instead of HD?

Your AV cable might be bad or you have an Hd Tv & dont have your Video setting set up right on your Xbox 360 go to http://www.xbox.com/en-AU/support/xbox360/digitalmedia/viewvideo.htm

Ensure that the video cable is good.

Is it that the remote dosent work?? Does it switch the tx on and off or does the volume change from the remote. NO?? then your remote is broken . Take out the batterys and replace them and see if that helps. Remote works?? Ok if the remote does work but wont let you into function then your gonna have to contact JVC at [email protected] Or look in your owners manual for a local branch as i see your from The UK.
