Wrong weight Our basic "thinner" scale all of a sudden was reading 30 lbs less than it should. What happened, is it fixable or just to be put in the garbage. The only number on the back is a sticker R0694. The only clue is then you tap it, it reads 000 )good), but when you stand on it, the numbers sort of shake, and then set down on the wrong weight. Thanks.

Finding replacement parts for store bought scales can be a fun experience to say the least. I would purchase a product from Seca or Health o Meter instead. Their parts and service centers are right here in the states and are genuine about their product accuracy and costomer service.

Are you talking 31 "Stone"? If so, I believe that comes out to 434lbs. You are lucky if your scales can read that high. For testing purposes, remove your shoes or more if you think your right at the upper limit. Or let a slightly lighter friend try it. I assume your talking "Stone" as used in the UK. Are you from there? (I,m in the US, in Florida.) Also, there should be a switch on the bottom of the scale (upper left corner) allowing you to switch between lbs, st and kg. You can try that as well, although the limit should be basically identical. If you tell me more, I can help you more.
(By the way, I weigh 197 lbs right now, that's 14 stone.)

On my "Ideaworks" wireless electronic display

After playing with the remote on this scale for about 30 minutes, I finally found out how to change this display from kg to pounds or stones. Since this scale doesn't come with an instruction manual, I know a lot of people are totally lost. OK, first click the user button once, so that the weight and goal weight show. Then hold down the clock/set button. After a few seconds the kg on the screen will start blinking. Then use your arrow buttons to switch to stones, then to pounds. The lb will show at the top of the display above where the kg was. You can also set your goal weight by pressing the set button and scanning through after setting the lbs setting. Hope this helps!

My scale adds anywhere from 5 lbs to 35 lbs to my family's weight. I just had my daughter weighed yesterday and this scale added 5 lbs and when my husband or I get on it, it adds anywhere from 30 to 35 lbs...

there should be a dial on the sides to zero it out. if it doesnt, then it has something to do on the actual scale. does it have a menu or settings option? you should be able to zero it out.

Just purchased the Ideaworks Large Capacity Bath Scale with infrared receiver and I can't get it to display the weight. The receiver seems to be working (can set clock, lbs, etc. . . ) but nothing happens...

If it's any consolation, my Jobar/Ideaworks JB5413 has developed the identical symptoms, although occasionally it will start working briefly. Batteries are new, and no corrosion in the battery compartments. I am thinking about just junking this nicely styled scale; what a shame.

Weight watcher scale not calibrating weight correctly

Press the scale once with your foot. All screen options should display to initialize and then go to 0.0. Now step on the scale. It should read out your correct weight. If not, first remove and replace the battery for reset. If still not, replace the battery. If still not it's ready for return or replacement. Hope it works! Dave - CA
