My 360 Elite has been working fine the year and a half I have owned it. Just yesterday while I was playing a tint green glow was radiating off the graphics. I immediately turned the Xbox off. I turned it back on to the xbox showing the normal "green" lights on the console. however, nothing shows up on the screen. No picture, no sound. I have used HDMI cables the entire time. I have purchased quality Monster HDMI cables. Still, nothing. I used the original XBOX 360 component cables. Nothing. Please help.
This is usually caused by a bad graphics card on the xbox. It isn't always detected by the xbox motherboard. I'm sorry to say, but it's pretty much toast unless you can find a repair guy in your area to solder on a new vga card.

Check the component cable from the Bose to the TV, and confirm the output setting on the Bose. If it switched to "S" video it will look green. If your cable is good and your settings are correct, switch from component to standard video and check the picture. Chances are good that it's a setting. Hope this helps. turns out after a bit of fiddling around that there is a switch on the 360 elite's VGA cable that you can switch on and off, i never knew they had these switches because it is my first tme with an elite, machine works fine though so far no freezes or glitches and im playing fallout 3. anyway for allthose that cant get video because of the cord or something make sure you check your VGA TV/HDTV switch, as i missed it too.
alright. make sure that your red, green and blue are all plugged in properly and that your audio plugs are also in there correct plugs. i think audio is red and yellow. correct me if im mistaken
it has to be on the wrong plug in ins or on HDTV. if you need more help my email is: [email protected] i got one on christmas to i sorta like SOFTLY boped it and it booted up. sorry bout it
It sounds like your drive has died. You will need to purchase a replacement from Microsoft or a licensed dealer. You can't replace with a generic drive as the Xbox uses proprietary firmware on them.
Wow i have no idea what to do with my Xbox #360 Elite. I was playing halo3 and my screen started acting up, and the colors on the tv were flashing.. red pink green and blue.. but i could still play.. so i shut it down then turned it on and had no picture
Make sure you are using the correct video settings. Try using the basic red white yellow cords and see if that helps. Also make sure you have switched between HD and regular video. there is a switch on the video cable connector that plugs into the xbox.
