How to change oven light

I need to replace the light and have no manual for this oven. It doesn't seem to screw undone, nor does it push in and turn... how on earth do I do this without wrecking the oven?

my oven brand is a Simpson Evolution 800 Electric Wall Oven - (dunno what happened to this piece of info in the original question!)

I have the same problem with the oven light in a NEFF Circotherm oven - model not known but is stamped GB-1051.01HOS 1051-SP on the type plate - I have tried a little gentle persuasion with flat bladed screwdrivers under the edge of the glass but am very reluctant to use any amount of force. The oven liner appears to slide out [if the hinges are removed] but I hope there is an easier way to get at the light fitting. Many thanks for any assistance

I have a Crosley oven and I can not get the glass cover off the oven bulb to replace it. Does it turn or pull off? It does not have a wire that holds it in place.

I want to change the light bulb in the oven,.Mod.no.ZDQ695A can you help me.

I will assume that the ZDQ695 bulb replacement procedure is the same as that for the ZDQ695A. The ZDQ695 uses a 25 W appliance light bulb (300 C). Unplug the appliance before starting. Open the oven and remove the racks for space to work. Insert a flat blade screwdriver between the side of the oven and the glass cover above the bulb. With your hand support the cover and pry it away from the wall of the oven until it releases. Push the top of the cover towards the oven wall and use your fingers to pry the bottom of the cover away from the housing. Then remove the cover. Unscrew the old bulb (counterclockwise) and then remove the bulb. Then screw in the new bulb. Replace the glass cover (position the flange so that it is pointing to the back of the oven) by pushing it into the hole to cover the bulb assembly. Replace the shelves and close the oven door before plugging the oven back in.

Zanussi manuals are available here: http://www.zanussi.co.uk/en-gb/Support/Manuals/ . Enter the model number in the search box. Alternatively, the manual for the ZDQ695 is available here: http://kitchen.manualsonline.com/manuals/mfg/zanussi/zdq_695.html . Click on the Get This Manual button.

I hope this helps.

How do I replace the lightbulb. NEFF B1442 series 3 Oven

1. Some glass covers are held on with a wire clip over them. It should be visible.

2. Some have a 'ring' which is screwed to the oven cavity around the light cover. On that design the screws need to be removed from the surrounding retaining ring.

3. On may later model the glass light cover screws into place. Those covers should 9hopefully) be able to be unscrewed the same you you'd remove a jar lid.

Unable to remove the backplate off Neff oven

If there are no screws at the rear of the oven compartment that you can see to remove, then you will have remove the oven from the housing, and remove outer rear panel of oven to access the element.
Check the 4 fixings again, because on some ovens , they are not using coventional screws, they are are using what are called Torx screws, and you need a torx screwdriver or key to undo them.

Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.

Change light-bulb

You need to remove the whole oven from its cabinet (after switching off the electricity supply). Removing the doors first; (see http://www.youtube.com/user/Apart4u for videos of this) then remove the facia, which allows you access to the two restraining hooks near the top of the sides of the oven. With these slackened off (screws at the front) and pushed back, the oven can be slid out of its housing - be careful, it's heavy - onto a similar height workbench in front of the oven housing. Removing the wiring hatch (2 screws) and the rear panel (6 screws) gives access to the screw in bulb. Hope this helps :)
