Is there a Portable Linux antivirus software?

Use a USB cable to connect it. You may need to download LG software to use any special features.

Start the computer into safe mode, uninstall Comodo Security Software (probably an antivirus or other related program). Clean the computer with CCleaner, then reinstall with updated version of the software. Check to make sure there are no conflicting software, such as; other antivirus programs, standalone firewalls (besides the Windows firewall and Windows defender). Also run portable antivirus (Emsisoft Free Emergency Toolkit, ClamWin Portable), Malwarebytes, and Spybot Search and Destroy to make sure you have not bad programs interfering with antivirus and corrupting necessary programs. Once this is done, reinstall Comodo or your preferred antivirus software, suite, and restart your computer in normal mode.

when it shows corrupted you need not understand that it is no longer for use.you can use it. it happened because of any antivirus that has affected the file system and the file is unrepairable.so what should you do now? you can do two things if you don't feel sorrowful to lose the data that the portable hard drive contained.Indeed you have to feel sorry for it.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------The two ways are:1> insert it into a machine running linux based operating system and delete the files which you dont know (i mean which you are seeing new to exist.those are the virus).Else if you have problem in sorting out you can just format it.even if you delete the virus and still the portable hard drive is said to be corrupted by windows you need to format it in any linux based operating system.
2> zero-fill your hard drive.
you can try the first option at first and the second option if you are unsuccessful.i mentioned that you have to a Linux based system because when windows shows that it is corrupted,it will certainly not format the drive.

get a copy of linux puppy and boot from cd while your external drive plugged in, it should recognise this under linux, then get what files you need and transfer to usb drive and reformatt the drive, I hope this helps

Well I don't wanna scare do but you are in a real **** bro. But don't worry try this solution.
First of all back-up all your data (somewhere else not your hard drive).
First option available to you is to RESTORE YOUR SYSTEM IN SAFE MOOD (you can go to boot to safe mode by pressing the F8 key at the system startup you might have to press F8 key more than 1 time).
If you are using windows xp then you can restore your system by going to START> ALL PROGRAMS> ACCESSORIES> SYSTEM TOOLS here you will find the SYSTEM RESTORE option (restore your system at any available date before which you got that virus).

Secondly you can try scanning via nod32 in safe mood. If nod isn't already running go to the installation folder (normally it is C:\Program Files\ESET\ESET Smart Security) and run egui.exe after that try scanning your computer.

Third option is that you can try online scan offered by many antivirus companies like mcafee etc (try googling with the Terms "free online scan" to get the complete list of online scan providers).

Fourth one is to try the standalone virus removal tools like ones provided by the symantic corporation or try googling with the terms "virus name+ remover".

Fifth option is try installing a new antivirus (in this case i'll recommend mcafee) and try scanning your system with your new antivirus (but before installing any other antivirus first remove or disable NOD).

Sixth option: Remove your hard disk and scan it on another computer with an up to date antivirus (preferably nod or mcafee) This option worked for me a lots of time.

7th option: Get a portable antivirus copy it to your USB and up date it (do it on any other PC). After updating your portable antivirus go to your pc and scan it via portable antivirus. Last thing you can do is to install a fresh copy of operating system then install an antivirus update it and scan your PC thoroughly. But until you have scanned your PC twice DON"T OPEN ANY OTHER PARTION like Local D, Local E and even your USB
devices.

It will not work properly. If you contact their support they will just try to get you to pay for an upgrade of the software. Take it back to the store and get something else.
