My 321 has power but the bulb light under the compartment is not on

In this case, it will be best to contact any service technician. These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit stage inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power led, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. 5 blinks means there is a problem with the video board. It could be as simple as unplugging everything, includding power. Wait 3 minutes then plug power only back in. Or it may be a damaged component that requires replacing.

It migth be powerjack problem. Try to move the jack very gently then plug it on and try like this one more time, If you get any moves, you need to take to Techguy.
You may have Bulb problem if you can't see the LCD. This is comes from inverter or Bulb. Or even graphic card. You need professional.

Hi,
Symptom shows Lamp is weak in result and causing restart of TV again and again. Your TV requires new lamp as per following part number...
A1085447A* LAMP BLOCK ASSY XL-2200U
It is available in Sony Accessories Store for $200 and replacement procedure is written in instruction manual of TV.

Always buy Sony original lamp for TV and avoid aftermarket / cheap lamp for TV safety.

You need to replace your bulb. Order a replacement online---it's easy to swap and the instructions are in your manual. If you purchase one from a local dealer you will pay over $150 more!!!

Blinking power light is usually due to bad capacitors on the power supply. See the tip for RCA atc336 under my profile that can apply to your set as well.

I get 5 blinking red lights for about a minute or so before it powers back down. The Sony TV has a specific light that i presume is supposed to light up when the bulb is out. I'm unsure if this is what it is.
no picture, no sound. tries to boot with green light blinking a few times. then goes to red blinking light, six in all, then waits a few moments, then another 6 blinking red light.
Bulb was already replaced several months ago but we do have the TV on for long periods of time.

i also have the same problem with the flashing green light for a while then a different red light starts blinking on and off around 5 times....and i replaced my burnt bulb with a new one...still no picture.
