The DNS info is provided via DHCP which is given out by the hotspot. You may want to A) try and simply reboot the phone and B) go into your settings > wireless and press and hold on the hotspot SSID (wireless name) and forget it. Then re-connect. Otherwise I would say it's an issue with the hotspot.

SOURCE: How do I get my

You don't, unless you pay the extra 30bucks to Sprint to tether. They killed the hotspots with the updates. Or you can root to downggrade back to 2.2.1

How can i connect my tablet to wifi without a house that dos not have Internet access in county wexford ireland.

Are you trying to just connect to wifi to access a local network or are you trying to access the internet? If you just want to connect to a local network, maybe to access other devices on the network, you would need a router broadcasting the network that all the devices connect to. If you are only trying to get access to the internet, consider purchasing a hot spot device. It will provide cellular type service and will broadcast a wifi signal that you can connect your tablet or other devices to for internet access. Hot spots will cost you a monthly fee for the service and you will have to purchase the device itself. Another possibility is to use your cell phone as a hot spot and tether the tablet to it. Just remember whatever data you use on your tablet will be charged to your data plan on your cell phone. On my nexus 5x phone, it's fairly easy to turn on (settings, under wireless and networks select more, select tethering and portable hotspot, turn on portable wifi hotspot, set a password if you want to). Once turned on, the phone will broadcast a signal that you can connect other devices to for internet access. Some cellular providers don't allow tethering. If that is the case with yours there are some apps that will still allow you to set up tethering such as AndroidTethering or Easy Tether. In the past, I've had some trouble connecting wirelessly using the apps and found that using USB tether options worked better for me.

Unable to connect my blackberry to wifi. it says unable to authenticate network.

Try a hard reset: With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot 5 minutes.

Also check the wifi encryption is compatible with your phone?
Maybe an option to goto a cafe with a wifi hotspot and try logging in there ... does that work?
cheers.

I got a galaxy nexus smartphone Android. How van I use it as a router, which password the other de vice must use to connect through it?

Try using a program called FoxFi. You can get it in Google Play or Market. It is free and allows you to tether your phone, and make it a hotspot for wifi, or bluetooth, or usb to a laptop or other computer or phone.
