The console plays well for a little while and then freezes up. Whenever I'm driving or just walking around Liberty City after a while the surrounding objects and buildings lose all detail, cars start to look as if their floating, and all of the road ways turn plain grey....it's crazy and I wuold love it if you guys could help me find a solution.

If your PS3 is first generation version of the console, it is known to produce the "yellow light of death" and random freezing because the console overheats due to poor cooling and causes internal components to come unsoldered. This is 90% likely your problem and the console will either need repaired or replaced. Another possible cause is an internal hard drive failure causing freezing if you are playing games off the hard drive. This is a less costly part to replace.

My ps3 freezes up every when I am playing Madden 09 and its getting real old. I have to quit my game every time because there is no other way to fix it other than quiting. It doesnt freeze all the time but it has started to alot more a few days ago. Is there something I can do about this?
