Why does yamaha tsr 6750 automatically switch to av1 instead of hdmi

If it is not responding to that reset then the receiver is defective.

tell toshiba dvd 720 p only and use bitstream outsetting in audio of dvd player ok if that dont do it run dvd directto tv then digita opti cable from tv back to sterio ok

have to change the hdmi mode for the tv, also co-inspone with the receiver

Try using the "source" or "input" button on your tv or remote control. That will cycle through any ports that are being used (hdmi, component, rca, etc)

Easy to fix so don't worry ;)

While the PS3 is off (solid red led)

Hold down the power button until you hear the SECOND BEEP, quickly release.

This will reset the video settings back to default.

If you are gonna connect the x-box to the yamaha directly you would have to connect the red and white cables to one of the inputs on the reciever and the yellow to the video on your tv.

Set your TV, Sattellite receiver and audio where you want it when you turn on the set. Then hit the Scene button named "TV" and hold it down till the yamaha receiver says set complete and it will turn on to HDMI 2

Hi, unfortunately this is not possible on RX-V465. HDMI can have sound only from HDMI. All A/V inputs are paired, except for analog Audio 1-2, to which you can assign any of the analog video AV1-6.

But you can connect the video via HDMI directly to your TV and connect only audio to receiver via optical AV1 or AV4.

hook up hdmi cable from cable box to receiver hdmi input 1 then from hdmi out to your projector or tv,i don't know what kind of inputs you have on your projector .whatever you have run from projector to receiver input example component red,blue,green then run from both say to the av input 1 then set your receiver to av1 and you should get picture.
