Good morning -
I'm using the D-Link DKVM-8E switch to configure a rack server with Windows Server 2003. The keyboard works but the mouse does not. It works when I switched the mouse out with a regular corded mouse. Is there something that I troubleshoot to get the mouse to work at the keyboard? I've tried everything listed in the manual.
Your help is much appreciated.

As it stands on its own, no. You would need either a USB adapter to match either the keyboard or mouse port on the KVM. Another solution might possibly to get USB Hub to attach. Without physically testing it myself, I am not sure if it would work, but it is possible.
You will need the drivers for them i had a similar problem insted of reinstalling windows i got a very old taty keyboard and mose from a windows 95 pc and used them till i got and installed the drivers for them.
Some of his features are: DOMAIN Controller, Active Directory, Ftp Server, DHCP, Web Server, Terminal Server, File server etc. Here i have some very useful links.

KVM switch: This is a Keyboard video and mouse switch. It is used to connect multiple computer/servers to the same Keyboard Monitor and mouse. It is typically use in Racks housing multiple servers to swap between server without having to use a Keyboard Mouse and a Monitor per server. SMC switch: I believe is a brand for Ethernet switches, used to connect computer together in the same LAN.
Please make sure that the keyboard is hooked up on the KB port of the KVM. check underneath the GCS632U for the correct console port. you will see a keyboard and mouse icon. Make sure that the keyboard is connected to the keyboard port. tap scroll lock key twice to switch between computers.
when system starts up, antivirus software like Norton do the startup scan for virus detection and this process utilizes more memory and high processing of CPU .It makes the mouse & keyboard stucking at that moments. we have the same problem in our server also.
Have you relpalce the keyboard and mouse , first these Devices checks in other system. if it working in other system do one thing
pls checks the USB protes .and then try it inatalling the latest service packs .
