I am using a Pioneer DVD Player DV-393, and Buena Vista DVD disks. I have a set of these disks. One disk, which I have previously started (successfully) to play, on being reinserted now switches from "play" to "still" continuously and will not restart or play. What should I do?

Try 1) Remove DVD and clean surface with clean soft cotton rag to remove any marks. 2) Use CD/DVD head cleaner available in $2 shops.

SOURCE: how to use the usb port on Pioneer DV-410V DVD Player

Dear friends in problem solving.
My husband actually solved this problem by writing in the browser: Manual for Pioneer DV-410V DVD player.
That was available online and there it said that not all formats was supported by the USB port, so we tried to load a movie on a pen drive, insert it in the player and it opened and we just clicked play, so it was actually an issue of having an incompatible video file on the pen drive that made it not open in the first place.

Open disk drive> press 1,2,3,4 on remote> close disk drive

Worked on mine.

Player will start then stop and restart no auido and PIP. What gives? I have to hit next to get it to start working right.

If this happens on all disks you throw at it, you should run a lens cleaner disk through your machine. Short of that, you'll have to send it in for service.

HI,

You can reset all models of DVD Players with the following method:
1) Switch the player into standby and empty the disc tray.
2) Using the front panel buttons, hold down the STOP button and press STANDBY/ON to switch the player back on.

Pioneer Dv 285 powers down after 15sec

Hi There, I've got the same problems with my DV 285. My power started going off approximately 5 to 10 minutes into the DVD. The only button that seems to work is the OPEN/CLOSE button. Once the tray closes, the unit shuts off. I can't even use the on/standby button to turn it on.

My pioneer car audio player supports mp3, wav, but recently started showing error 11

would need the model number of pioneer. But generally this error on most pioneer refers to a dirty disk, scratched disk or dirt on the lens inside the player. try using lens cleaner and clean all your disks. Car scratch remover such as t-cut is good for removing scratches off disks.

"No Disk" message on front display

If when you insert the disk you hear a whirring and clicking noise, CD spins, and does not read, then that is a problem with the DVD lens.

The DVD lens try to focus on the DVD track, by moving lens pickup and spinning the disk, but cannot read the tracks because the lens is dirty or defective.

Try first cleaning the lens with a DVD cleaner disk. And also if you can see the lens from the outside try blowing some canned air on it.

If this still does not help, then the lens pickup may be faulty, in this case you often replace the whole DVD drive unit inside the DVD player.
