Most likely you need to replace the water valve first try running at least a gallon water through it to flush it out if that doesn't work new valve is needed
This sounds like a sticking solenoid valve. When you depress the lever for you water dispenser it activates a valve, usually at the bottom back of the fridge. It might look something like this:
Sometimes they just burn out and stop working or the seal inside fails sometimes from particulates in the water. Some people put a pre-filter on the water hose that attaches to the fridge just in case. If you have a water filter inside your fridge this does not protect the solenoid. They are next to impossible to repair so a replacement is needed. Just go to Amazon or eReplacement parts and search for your fridge model number with the search terms "water dispenser solenoid". If you are mechanically inclined you can replace yourself or get an appliance tech to do it. It's a 15 minute job.
Sounds like ice blockage or other foreign material is built up inside of of fill tube. Try removing hose and visually inspect fill tube. Sometimes a slow drip will freeze tube shut. Replace fill valve if it continues to drip and freeze.
you have a faulty water valved solenoid. when you actuate the water lever, the solenoid opens, to allow water flow, then closes to stop it. When you continue to get a dripping before or after, its because the solenoid is not closing completely. Only resolution is to replace the water valve.
Try tighten the hoses, if this don't work the seal in hose connectors may need replaced, very simple and cheap to replace. over time the hot water will wear down the seal it will go bad with pressure and water period. It's a good thing to change these all while you are there.
On the handle it self you should see a red and blue button plug. Remove this and you will see set screw. Remove handle, remember to shut off hot and cold water supplies under sink before you go any further.
The faucet is slowing wearing out. You can live with this little drip or have a repair kit installed in the faucet. If you are handy you can do this yourself. You must be sure to get the repair kit that matches your faucet. good luck
soundslike the water valve is notcompletly shutting off, causing a slow drip try replacing the water inlet valve behind hte unit where the water installs to the refrig
