Logitech THX Z-2300 Speakers Don't work and subwoofer does

My subwoofer works great but thats the only sound i have. i can't get any sound from either speaker but when i plug headphones into the remote they work fine. What do i do to the speakers to get some sound other than just bass out of the woofer?

I'm having a similar issue. No matter the input to it, there's no sound from the speakers, only the sub. By chance I found out that if I press lightly on the speaker itself (with the cover removed) I can hear from them. Aside from this, no sound at all, not just quiet. Is it possible the speakers got blown? I've only ever seen the black film tear when that happened, not both speakers becoming perfectly disconnected at the center.

Well, just because someone at Logitech said the speakers are definitely broken doesn't necessarily make it so. They told me the same thing, yet when I read on another forum that plugging earphones into the wired remote sometimes seems to make things better, I plugged earphones into the wired remote -- and Voila! All of a sudden the blue light went on and I had sound from all three speakers. The sound continued working properly even after removing the earphone jack. IMO the problem could be with the wired remote rather than with the speakers themselves. My speakers work again!

This isn't uncommon among logitech speakers.
can you give me the m/n, p/n, and pid of your speakers? this will help determine whether this is a hardware error or speaker defect.

I contacted logitech and they said the speakers are definitely broken. Obviously, it's a hardware issue as physically changing the hardware fixes it. I spoke with someone who actually knows what they are talking about and they informed me that this is caused bu a malfunctioning, usually broken voice wire (inside the speaker) the only way to fix this is to replace the speakers. on the bright side, it's only $20 each. Here is the new speaker:

Hai. First you have to download REALTEK HD Sound Effect Manager, and to install it. Then it properly work. Or try to some Sound Effect Manager. Ok

Hi

http://www.livedigitally.com/2005/09/05/logitech-z-2300-speaker-system/

It would appear you need 2 x 1/4 inch (3.5mm) jack to RCA cables, one for each channel and each speaker, left and right, rather than just the 1 cable ("..and a mini to RCA cord...") you seem to have bought.

The Yellow and Black RCA ports appear to be the Left and Right speaker channels respectively.

The output cable with a green jack that connects to the green jack on the computer's sound card seems to be tied in with the wired Remote Control.

I would have recommended getting a pair of passive 40W RMS Logitech Stereo Speakers.

As long as the speakers you have match in terms of Wattage and Impedance, you should be okay.

I hope this helps.

Logitech Z-2300 subwoofer/Bass volume cannot completely shutoff

Make sure the wired remote is connected completely and if that doesn't work try putting a pillow or a pile of blankets to cover both the subwoofer driver and the air port on it and that should reduce the sound coming from it. Also if it is in a corner or on a solid floor like wood or tile i would move it to a less enclosed space with carpet or a rug. Thats all I got I hope that helps.

Logitech THX Z-2300 only one speaker works. theres something wrong with the input. both speakers work fine but the 1 of the inputs on the subwoofer stopped working, causing only one speaker 2 work

try tapping the speaker box in your palm while the speaker is connected. There might be a bad contact of the wires inside. I had to open up my speaker to find that out. i moved around the wires connected to the cone of the speaker and then started to hear music once i did that. it was the left speaker by the way.

My logitech z 2300 subwoofer is not producing sound

Since this set is hardwired together and the other speakers are working, the only easy fix would be the subwoofer got turned down on the remote volume control. Anything more would mean its broken. If its under warranty take it back. If its not and you know somebody capable, you might have them check for the obvious, bad solder connections on speaker, or and open voice coil on the speaker it self.

Logitech Z-2300 speakers

maybe the first step could be checking the subwoofer's fuse.it is located over the power supply connector.
