Hello Jim, I appreciate your post!
Based off the information you have provided you would like to know the where to set the ohms meter to check the sensor and EOC (electronic oven control) on your Frigidaire oven. In order to research this information further I would need to have your model number. You can locate your model number on a wall oven on the inside left hand wall or the door frame. If this is a range you would need to pull out the bottom drawer and it is located on the door frame. Once I have that information I would be able to assist you further. -Matt
Hello Friend, this is Z. I am happy to assist you!
If you are getting an error code F30 on your Frigidaire range, it usually indicates an issue with a faulty sensor probe or a wiring harness between the sensor probe and EOC (Electronic Oven Control). You may try and reset your range by disconnecting the power or by flipping the circuit breaker off and back on after 10 minutes. This often clears most false error code. If the error code does not clear, most likely the EOC of your range will need replacing. I am fairly confident that an authorized service agent will be able to restore your appliance to its normal operating condition. You can often locate a qualified service technician on the manufacturer website.
I understand you want to know what the EOC is on your Frigidaire range. The EOC is the electronic control board that is basically the brain of your appliance. It is typically located behind the control panel of your range. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.
Hello,Please use the chart to determine which stove you have. You will have
to look at the model number. The first 3 numbers will be the series on
the chart. In most cases an F1 error would require replacement of the
electronic control. This part is commonly refered to as an EOC or ERC.
However this type of repair is usually reserved for repair specialists.
KENMORE Range/Stove/Oven Fault Codes – 362 Series (General Electric) F1 = Stuck Touch Pad Key - Replace Electronic Range Control (ERC).
KENMORE - 911 Series (General Electric/Roper) F0-F1-FF = Failed transistor in Electronic Range Control (ERC).
KENMORE Range/Stove/Oven Fault Codes- 665 Series (Whirlpool) F1-E0 EPROM Error - Electronic Range Control (ERC). F1-E1 EPROM Error - Electronic Range Control (ERC). F1-E2 U/L ERC Errors - Electronic Range Control (ERC). F1-E3 Fuel Type Fail
Kill power 30 seconds-Cancel-Start/Enter-5 seconds-Should see “E” for electric- “9” for gas-If code changes again-replace Electronic Range Control (ERC).
KENMORE - 790 Series Electronic Oven Control (Frigidaire) F1 = Shorted Touch Pad = Electronic Range Control (EOC) Internal check sum error. Runaway Temp = Replace Electronic Oven Control (EOC).
Kill power 30 seconds - if error returns - replace Electronic Oven Control (EOC).
F1 is an EOC (electronic oven control) failure. The control is expensive. But before you go and buy this board, you need to find a diagram to see of this model oven lock is controlled by the EOC or by a micro switch. If you have a lock button on the board the you have to replace the EOC.
If the burners and oven light are working, then you have power coming in. It's most likely a defective EOC. If you haven't tried turning off the circuit breaker for 5-10 mins to reset any glitch associated with a surge or spike, do so. If this doesn't reset the control, the EOC will need to be replaced.
