P0452 EVAP Pressure Sensor Switch Low
If you are real lucky ... you may just have not 100% tightened your gas cap the last time you fueled up. But it could be the sensor at the fuel tank ... or a leak in tubing ... etc.
Helpful?
Good luck on your troubleshooting
You most likely have a problem with the emission control system on your car which a few components between the gas tank and exhaust manifold. The code you are getting is P0452 which is "Evap Emission Control System Pressure Sensor Low Input". Go to this link for a better description: https://edgeproducts.com/app/uploads/2014/08/customer_support_article-pdf-41.pdf
code p0452 refers to evaporative emission ( EVAP) pressure sensor--low input ===causes wiring short to ground--EVAP pressure sensor---ECM
check for wiring problems from chewed wires form leaving it unattended
check replace the pressure sensor.
P0452 The definition is evap pressure system low. This mean it detected a no pressure but rather a leak, There is nothing wrong with the pressure sensor or wiring itself,Fist thing to check is the gas cap, make sure the seals is good shape, The hose connection are firm and clamped down, you basically have a evap leak
This problem is out side the gas tank , has nothing to do with the fuel pump or fuel level sending unit inside the gas tank .DTC P0446 EVAP Vent Solenoid Valve Control System . Do you know anything about automotive evaporative emission system ? Wells EVAP Training with Sgt Tech P0440 P0441 P0442 etc
This DTC tests the evaporative emission (EVAP) system for a restricted or blocked EVAP vent path. The control module commands the EVAP canister purge solenoid Open and the EVAP canister vent solenoid Closed. This allows vacuum to be applied to the EVAP system. Once a calibrated vacuum level has been reached, the control module commands the EVAP canister purge solenoid Closed and the EVAP canister vent solenoid Open. The control module monitors the fuel tank pressure (FTP) sensor for a decrease in vacuum. If the vacuum does not decrease to near 0 inches H2O in a calibrated time, this DTC sets.
P0452 evap control pressure low, P0 446 evap vent contol circuit. Becuase you have P0452 you are dealing with a eletrical issue whether you have positive tank pressure or negative pressure, The tool for this is a volt meter.452 happens when you positive pressure and the FTP reads less than 0.1 volts. You need to jump the signal and the reference and monitor the take parameter on a scan data you should read reference voltage. Now if you dont have a scan data tool. inspect the wire for any breaks or shorting 2 thing of concern broken wire to the FTP or a ECM is needed.
This indicates that a part of the Evap control system is no longer functioning correctly. The Evap system consists of many parts, including (but not limited to) the Gas Cap, fuel lines, carbon canister, purge valve, and other hoses. The (EVAP) emission control system prevents the escape of fuel vapors from a cars fuel system. Fuel vapors are routed by hoses to a charcoal canister for storage. Later, when the engine is running a purge control valve opens allowing intake vacuum to siphon the fuel vapors into the engine. A code P0440 could mean one or more of the following has happened: The gas cap is not installed or working properly The purge solenoid has failed The canister is plugged and not working properly TRY this first:Remove and reinstall the gas cap or replace, clear the code, and drive for a day and see if the codes come back. Inspect the Evap system for cuts/holes in tubes/hoses Inspect for damaged or disconnected hoses around the Evap purge solenoid Check and/or replace the sensor Check and/or replace the purge valve P0452 Evaporative Emission Control System Pressure Sensor Low Input Good luck and hope this helps. Recap star with the simple and replace the gas cap with a dealer OEM not a after market. If that does not fix it then change the sensor as indicated with the P0452 code. You can get the sensor from Auto Zone and they can give yo the step by step instruction to get the job done. Good luck and keep me posted.
