Keep losing conection from wii to my belkin router

While i'm play my wii online i keep loosing my connection between my wii and my belkin wireerless g plus mimo router what could be the problem

It's a wireless interference problem. To resolve that, you must change the router's wireless channel by logging in to the router's admin page http://192.168.2.1 you can change it under the Wireless tab. Set the channel to 11 and save the changes. Try to power cycle the router after that.

Step 1:Connect Modem - Router - Computer (Wired)

Step 2:Open Router Setup by typing http://192.168.2.1 on the address bar of internet explorer

Step 3:On the Left click firewall

Step 4:Leave the Password blank and click submit

Step 5:Disable it and click apply changes

Step 6:Scan and connect in the Xbox/PS3/Wii

Step 7: Get the IP Address of the Xbox/PS3/Wii

Step 8:Open Router Setup in the Computer

Step 9:On the left under Firewall Click DMZ

Step 10:Enable the IP Address of the Xbox/PS3/Wii in it

Step 11:Click Apply Changes

Step 13:On the left Under Utilities click System settings

Step 14:Scroll down to the bottom

Step 15:Enable UPnP

Step 16:Click apply changes

Step 17:Test the connection ,Check the NAT

If working then let me know

At the middle Under internet settings check the WAN IP

IF it starts with 192.168. or 172.16 Then you will have to contact your internet service and ask them to bridge the modem

M belkin will not let me play animal crossing (wii) online, but i can play and do anthing else that is online with the wii without any problems.

Connect Router - Computer ( Wired )

Are you sure you neighbor does not have a router to and you are connecting to there router and not your own. Check this. And also check for signal strength.

your gonna need the belkin router amplifier for that if its too far away from the router its gonna loose signal and cause you to intermittinly loose signal and connection ./... you could also contact belkin support at www.belkin.com/support

Wii connection issues.

You can check if the problem is with the internet connection going to the Wii or just the wireless connection.

When you loose connection, check the Wii's ip address. If it does not have an ip address(or ip is 169.xx.xx.xx) that means that the Wii is disconnecting from the wireless network. You can then try other wireless channels on your router.

If the Wii is still getting an ip of 192.168.x.x, that means that the problem is the internet from the router. You might need to forward ports on the router for your Wii.
