turn both phone bluetooth and speaker bluetooth off. then turn them back on. the speaker's light should be flashing indicating its searching for a device to pair with. as its flashing make sure your phones bluetooth is visible and searching. they will pair and your phone will tell you and the speakers light should quit flashiing and just remain on.

If you know for sure that the Bluetooth module is working, the keyboard shortcut to turn on Bluetooth is pressing the "FN" key and the "F2" key at the same time.

Press and hold the bluetooth button until it beeps, then it knows its looking for a new device.
When it is just flashing it is looking for a device it already knows.
Once connected it will stay on.

is the computer Bluetooth capable and does it have bluetooth software installed? Most times there will be a switch on the computer to turn on bluetooth or you'll have to hit a sequence of keys.

If there is no bluetooth installed or it is not bluetooth capable, buy a usb bluetooth adapter and plug it into one of the usb ports. It will come with software and drivers.

In order to connect via bluetooth to another mobile, both of your phones should activate or enable bluetooth. Go to your mobile's Connectivity settings and turn bluetooth from there. Then search for the mobile you want then choose connect or add device.

You need to have the Bluetooth code (a four digit number that should be with your vehicle documents)
- Turn Bluetooth at your phone.
- With the car ignition key at Position 0 (Off), pressand hold the phone key on your steering wheel.
- Whilst still holding the phone key down, turn the ignition key to position 1.
- release the phone key after about 3 seconds.
- The car display should then show "BLUETOOTH PAIRING" or similar.
- Search for new bluetooth devices with your phone.
- When the BMW unit is detected, select and enter the 4 digit PIN.
- Your phone should now work via the cars Bluetooth interface

The only thing that I can suggest to to make sure that your bluetooth is not only switched on in the bluetooth settings but is also set to visable. If it is not then other phones will not be able to detect yours.

The LG HBM 730 has a muti-function key on the front of the bluetooth. You can recognize it my the semi-circle (phone) symbol. When Bluetooth is on it is 'red'. It is actually a button (not obvious though). Hold it in for 8 seconds or so to turn it on. The light is a give-away when it's on.
Pairing is just the term used to indicate your phone recognizes your bluetooth. You need to set up your phone to recognize the bluetooth that you have.

Assuming your machine has bluetooth installed, and the driver is installed, you also cannot have "fast user switching" on and use bluetooth. As for turning bluetooth on, there is a button, usually on the lcd bezel, I'm not sure on this model, which has to manually be turned on. Hope this helps. Good luck
