My wife and I bought this same crib. We thought the same as well. We looked everywhere for the instructions- so we thought. We finally found someone to call and ask for help and she told us to

" Look in the box that has the mattress springs in them. The instructions are normally attached to them."

As I was on the phone with the lady helping us, I opened the spring box and there they were attached to it inside a white envelope.

I, too, bought this crib and it had no instructions. After a lot of hassle with 2 companies (because the manufacturer is actually LaJobi) and wasted time on gracobaby.com (which offers no solutions), I finally got a hold of someone at LaJobi and got the instructions emailed to me.
