If u are having Synaptics Driver....then
check that Tapping is enabled...

follow steps to know that:
Open Control Panel..
Now Open Mouse
Now click on tab "Device Settings"
then Click on "Settings"
a new window popups
Click on "Tapping" which is listed on the corner of the window
Now after clicking on it...on the right...check that there is "Tapping Enabled or not"
if not...click on that White box...
and Apply
then ok
Done :)

Sounds as if the diver has corrupted, right click my computer icon>properties>hardware tab>device manager> and look down list for touchpad, click the + sign to reveal your touchpad(normally Synaptics), right click and uninstal or delete. Restart notebook and the driver will reinstall and normal use should resume

T-43 Laptop - Screen freezes, mouse freezes, all functions stop..

The Touchpad is pressure sensitive, you can program the Touchpad's functionality. Go to Control Panel, click, to open Mouse Properties. Click the Device settings (block), select the Settings button; after the Touchpad Wizard appear! "View the (left) "Select an item" pane, and click to start the Touchpad's actions." Follow all the instructions carefully. I hope this Fix it

My touchpad mouse won't work. it does not respond

If you are using XP, check your mouse settings under Control Panel. Make sure that your Touch Pad is enabled. If it is but it still won't work, have a mouse plugged into a USB port that will work correctly. Then download the latest driver from the Acer site for your touchpad. Uninstall the driver that is currently being used by your system. Then install the updated driver that you downloaded. This should allow you to use your Touch Pad. If not, you may have to take your laptop in for servicing.
