HOW TO SCAN THE DOCUMENTS IR4570 TO P.C ????

HI..

MY IR 4570 MECHINE.. I WANT SCAN A DOCUMENTS WITH MY MECHINE TO P.C.???

ANY ONE KNOW.. HOW TO SET UP A SCANNER...

IR 4570 MECHINE TO MY P.C. ..THROUGH OUT NETWORK (RJ45) CABLE..

I AM ALREADY USING THROUGHT OUT NETWORK CABLE FOR PRINTING DOCUMENTS TO MY P.C.. THAT'S WORKING PERFECT...

BUT WHEN I WANT TO SCAN THE DOCUMENTS IR 4570 MECHINE TO MY P.C..CANNOT COMMUNICATE FOR SCANNING DOCUMENTS.???

I HAVE ALREADY INSTALLED NETWORK SCAN GEAR DRIVERS (V.2.21) IN MY P.C ...(WINDOWS VISTA)

SEE.....WHAT I AM DOING. STEP BY STEP FOR SETUPING THE PROGRESS...
NEXT INSERT I.P ADDRESS IN SCANGEAR TOOL...

O.K
DISPLAYED MECHINE ADDRESS AND ETC....
DEPT ID DISABLED...

O.K

WHEN I CLICK DISCOVER.. IN SCANGEAR TOOL..

IN THE SCANNER FROM LIST MESSAGE BOX DISPLAYED PRODUCT NAME AND I.P ADDRESS AND DEVICE NAME AND LOCATION AND ALL DISPLAYED ...ETC..

WHEN I PRESS IN MESSAGE BOX DISPLAY THE INFORMATION AND PRESSING THE SELECT BUTTON!!!!

NOTHING HAPPEND........
............

IN MY MECHINE IR 4570 ..THERE IS PRESSING SCAN OPTION ..in main LCD screen...
msg . WAITNG ......SCANNER IS ONLINE DISPLAYED........

BUT START KEY CANNOT ACTIVATED.?????????

HOW IT IS........??????

WHAT TO DO....??????

ANY BODY PLEASE SOLVE THIS PROBLEM............. ANY ANOTHER OPTIONS IS THERE FOR COMMUNICATE THE SCANNER..??????????

    i do all these things what you have said...
    when mechine in scan option setit to online.
    and iam comes into p.c network scangear tool running..and i press in network scan gear tool in msg address box comes in mechine address... tand i do select option .. but nothing happend????
    and in mechine scan option onlined but start key cannot activated?????

    ...........

    and in my p.c also adobe acrobat 9.0 software full already running in p.c ...
    but how to combine with this scan gear tool...?????

    tell me any other procedure is there joslloyd........

    and in my p.c scangear tool > discovered the device i.p address and > in message box device address > will comming and i press in to msg box display the device address next press in select option in tool nothing happend .????



    next.....

    and in my p.c (wndows vista) also adobe acrobat 9.0 & ms office 2007 full softwares is also running....



    but how to combine with this that software to network scangear tool.???



    if any another procedure is there ????

On the device you want to chose the SCAN option and set it to ONLINE.
You then need an application that does TWAIN scanning and aquire image data. Set your scanner device yo "Canon Color Network Scangear".
A freeware product you can use to test is irfanview
You would otherwise need to do an aquire / TWAIN scan from MS Word or Adobe Acrobat (full/pro) or another software that does TWAIN scanning.

Hey, the thing is that machine can scan in two ways: one is SEND option, which automatically sends the scanned documents to your pc via network, the second option is scan(using TWAIN32 interface in windows). from what u wrote, you're using the second option. in that mode the green button will never be active because you have to scan from your PC not from machine itself. that's how it's done: after installing all the software, configuring it, place documents on the plate(or ADF) go to your pc, select some image or document software(such as ms word, adobe photoshop etc). i will use ms as an example. click insert, then image, then from scanner, then advanced scanning(NOT SCAN). window with scan options will pop-up. from there you should be able to scan to your pc. the scangear software is used only for discovering and selecting scanner. i you would like to use send option(to send pdf's, tiff's, jpg's via network- directly from the printer) you have to buy a license from canon. hope this helped a bit.

My self Rishi Dhiman
if u want to active ur optional copy tray in ir 4570/3570/2870 machine than first of all u have to enable it ,
Go to additional function/ common setting / tray desination/ here u can select tray which u want to use


If u not get the opiton of tray desination in common setting of additional function, than u have to active it from service mode
press * 28* for entering into service mode after that click on copier, now click on option >acc>out tray press here 1 and do it ok, now u have to restart u machine one time after that opition of tray desition is avilable in common setting, nd there u can set u output tray,


caution : this method is decrease the speed of machine paper output

Sympton: The fixing film rotates in an abnormal way.
Description: The reading of the main thermistor is in excess of 100 deg C with the fixing motor in a locked state and in addition, the machine fails to detect the marker signal for 6 second.

Regards DADF size setting in ir4570
Are you sure the problem is not coming from the paper tray????

Open the paper tray and look at the guides that hold the paper, if Letter paper is in tray make sure the guides are set against the paper, also look "behind" the tray for paper it could be changing the paper size.
