Subwoofer not working

The subwoofer is dependent on a sound amp powered by an external source whereby the speakers are powered by the line output from the sound source (like a computer speaker out jack). Powered Subwoofers controlled by a power amplifier require a power source such as an AC/DC source plugged into the house power. If the device is defective or a mismatch, the subwoofer will not function. Try a new power transformer and see if that fixes the problem. Other than that, if the power transformer is good, then the woofer could be defective.

Can not get subwoofer z-340 to work with i3 laptop. Speakers work, but not subwoofer

Ensure it is connected according to the manual and plugged into a wall outlet for power. The small speakers might work just being plugged into the computer but the subwoofer requires a much higher voltage to run.

You mean the right and left satellite speakers are working but the subwoofer is not. Try to adjust the bass control of the subwoofer at the back. Set it to full.

There must be a control on subwoofer, like a volume control. Turn it and check it. Also check the connections.
