I was on web yesterday when i lost mobile broadband signal the system crashed with an error message that i didnt see. ever since i am having nothing on my screen. i have power light and all other leds appear fine!!
If the screen is always blank, even on startup , before loading Windows, than this is probably an hardware fault.
Try unplugging the laptop and removing the battery at the same time, wait 5 minutes, then put the laptop together. This will drain power and reset the laptop.
If that does not work, and you get no pictuer under any circumstance , then there is a fault.
If the screen is black with no light , then it is either a faulty inverter or a problem on mainboard.
If the screen is all lit, but is blank with no signal, then it is often because of a bad LCD ribbon cable , but can be again the video chipset on the motherboard.
Try connecting to an external monitor, if it works then problem is restricted to LCD/inverter and ribbon cable, if it does not work on external monitor is usually a bad video chipset on motherboard.
AS YOU ON THE SYSTEM AND EVEN BEFORE WINDOWS
STARTS KEEP PRESSING THE F8 KEY CONTINUEOUSLY. A MENU WILL APPEAR. SELECT SAFE
MODE AND ENTER. WINDOWS WILL LOAD IN SAFE MODE. THIS WILL SOLVE SOME OF YOUR
PROBLEMS. NOW RESTART THE SYSTEM IN NORMAL
MODE.
IF THIS DOES NOT WORK SELECT "LOAD WINDOWS
WITH LAST KNOWN GOOD CONFIGURATION " AND THEN RESTART. THIS WILL SURELY
SORT OUT YOUR PROBLEM.
