I LOST ALL MY TIME AND EFFORT ON THIS PROJECT. NOW I GET THE SAME MESSAGE ABOVE WHEN TRYING TO VIEW IT, I CANNOT EVEN SEE IT. I had the same problem and after troubleshooting found out that the project was not opening because I had changed the location of some pictures I used on a slideshow.

It sucks that the project doesn't have it's own version of the slides and requires the photo files to be in the same physical location as they were when you originally created the slide or used the video file.

Not sure if this will help others, but if you moved any files that you used to create your project, try to restore them to their original location and see that fixes it for you...that fixed my problem.

good luck.

Microsoft Project cannot open the file

1.Open the .mpp file in Microsoft Project 4.x.
2.On the File menu, click Save As.
3.In the File name box, type the file name that you want to save.
4.In the Save as type list, click MPX(4.0).
5.Click Save.
Files in MPX 4.0 format can be opened directly in either Microsoft Project 98 or in Microsoft Project 2000.

Magix Movie Edit Pro Premium 2015 cannot find or recognize many of my saved MVP Project files. All previous saved project files still show in MEP 2015 folder. How do I get MEP 2015 to open them?

Magix software can be fickle at times. All I can suggest is that you are very careful with files and directories associated with the working files of the software. One tiny change will produce a file not found response. You can sometimes manually take it the missing file, but it's messy.
I suggest that any outputted files are not directly changed, but left where they are. If you want to do with something afterwards create a new folder and copy the files you want into that folder. Then change those files.
If you look at the original files that you worked on, you will see around four files near it. Deleting any of these files will produce that response. If you alter any of the original files you worked, you will get the same response. Because the Magix files around it will no longer match with the file you altered.

When I try to save a project, I get"photo explosion has quit working". It doesn't save and goes back to project studio opening. I run windows 7. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Photo Exp'n...

Hi,

Welcome to Fixya. Have you tried running the software in Compatibility Mode? Depending on your version of Windows 7, you may have the ability to run it in Compatibility Mode. Try right-clicking on the Photo Explosion shortcut that is on your Desktop. Then, go to Properties from the pop-up menu. Then, select the Compatibility tab. On that tab, put a check next to "Run the program in compatibility mode for:". Then, select Windows XP SP2. Click on the OK button to save this setting. Finally, try launching the program again.

If you have questions please let me know. Thanks for using Fixya.

In Roxio Creator 10, I attempt to burn a disk of a slide show. I receive an error message 8004520C When I check production it reports no problem. This is repeatable.

Generally, defragmenting your hard disk will resolve this issue. To defragment your computer:

  1. Go to Start--> Programs --> Accessories --> System Tools --> Disk Defragmenter.
  2. When the Disk Defragmenter window opens, choose Defragment.

If defragmentation doesn't resolve the issue, burn your project as a data file, and then burn your project as a data disc using Disc Copier or Creator Classic. To create a disc image/data file:

  1. After clicking the Burn button, the Burn Project window opens.
  2. You have two data burning options:
    • Image file - this option will save your project as an .ISO file. To burn this file you will need to use the Burn Image option in Creator's Copy section.
    • Folder Set - burning a folder set will create a Video_TS folder that you can burn using Creator Classic. Burning a folder set to DVD will create a fully functional DVD. Do NOT rename the Video_TS folder other wise it will not play! Simply place it in a folder that is the name of your project if you need to keep track.

Saving projects

I have not used Print Shop in years but i always was able to save to a file then save it to a disc using cd writing software. Just take notice of where your files are being saved. I think you can use the save as function and choose a spot to save it for easy retrivial then close the print shop and open up cd writing software and save the project to a disc.
