Usually breitlings have a screw-in crown with a gasket for diving. If you cannot pull the crown away from the case, try unscrewing it. After a little pressure to the left, the crown should begin to turn. Unscrew it carefully and you should be able to pull it out one stop for the date and all the way (note second hand stops) to set the time. Be careful pushing it back in and screwing it back down. You don't want to potentially damage the threads. The crown is back in place when you ca't screw it in any more and the "B" is straight up and down

My watch not working how to setup

  1. Check the battery: Before attempting to set up your watch, make sure that the battery has not run down. If the battery is dead, you will need to have it replaced by a professional watchmaker or authorized Breitling service center.
  2. Wind the watch: If the battery is not dead, you may need to wind the watch to get it started. Most Breitling watches have a self-winding mechanism, but if it has not been worn for a long time, it may need to be manually wound.
  3. Set the time: Once the watch is running, you can set the time by pulling out the crown (the knob on the side of the watch) and turning it until the hands are set to the correct time. Push the crown back in when the time is set.
  4. Set the date: If your watch has a date function, you can set the date by pulling the crown out to the second position and turning it until the date changes. Push the crown back in when the date is set.
  5. Synchronize the time: If your watch has a chronograph function (stopwatch), you may need to synchronize the time to ensure that it is accurate. You can do this by starting the chronograph and waiting for it to complete a full revolution.

Breitling galactic unitime losing time

Hello Aleks,

My personal opinion:
Take it back (undo your "new" purchase).

Real watch movements DO NOT have the accuracy
of "QUARTZ" watches...!!

If you have a WARRANTEE that allows for higher
expectations... I would say TAKE IT back
immediately..!!

Worse than dropping a few SECONDS from your
watch...you are wasting time from your LIFE tribulating over nonsense

Breitling Caliber B35 (automatic) specs: watchbase.com/breitling/caliber/b35

Movement: Automatic
Display: Analog
Diameter: 36.60
Jewels: 41
Frequency: 28800
Date: Date
Hands: Hours, Minutes, Seconds, World Time
Additionals: Chronometer

Description
The Breitling caliber B35 is a new movement that was launched at BaselWorld 2015. It is an in-house (manufacture) movement with worldtime functions; it is also the first in-house Breitling movement not to feature a chronograph. It measures 36.6mm across at a height of 7.8mm.

If you purchased your UNITIME for accuracy
you skipped over some VASTLY SUPERIOR
quartz watches that would better suit your
EXPECTATIONS... ( for $$$ thousands less ).
Breitling Caliber B35 is a very nice movement...
(I think you need a QUARTZ... digital)...

ALL in my opinion!

My Breitling Chronograp he evolution changes the date at 3:00pm and not at 12:00am why ?

sometimes watch movements are set to change date later to allow for other function to happen at midnight. i would contact Breitling directly the money you have spent getting one they should be able to confirm if this is correct.

I've got a breitling superocean chrono and want to set the time, how do i do this?

Keep in mind that I dont have the watch in my hand... :-)

If this is an authentic Breitling...

You should have 2 buttons on the right with the crown between them. The crown screws down so you need to unscrew it before you attempt to set! Once unscrewed with gentle pressure pull the crown out. There should be 2 clicks, pull to 2nd click or furthest distance from case. That should be the time setting mode. Turn clockwise until the date changes then set your time. To change the date push back to the 1st click and that should be the date set mode. One direction will be for day and the opposite will be date. I believe that if you pull the crown back to 2nd click and push your buttons that should change the subdials for chrono. You might need to push both buttons at the same time.

Ive set Breitlings before but they arent a common watch we see. Most people dont use the Chrono so if the directions dont work for setting those then I wouldnt worry too much about it! Not many people are going to notice those. :-) Also be so very careful if its a real Breitling as they are a very expensive to fix! :-)

***DONT FORGET TO SCREW THE CROWN BACK DOWN OR YOU WILL GET WATER INSIDE THE WATCH!***

How to set date on breitling watches

On most.  Turn the winding screw anti-clockwise until it clicks and pops out slightly. Pull it all the way out or half way out to change the time or date.

How do you wind my breitling watch to set

unscrew the crown anticlockwise until it pops out then turn it clockwise about 50 times.
If the hand or date move, you pulled the pin too far. Push it back in and continue winding.

I have breitling superocean watch.my problem is everytime i change the date the watch stops running. i have sent it back to breitling 3 times now and they say it is fixed but it stops working again. they...

you're not supposed to change the time at certain times if it is an automatic. I think any time after 8pm and before 4am (but check your manual). Apparently it messes up the mechanism. Maybe that's the issue?

1990 Breitling Chronospace instructions

Hi snapper,

I suppose when you're setting the time on your watch, passing the midnight marker the date changes. In that case you can go to the date funcion and reset the date.
