How to keep my oreck xl bag docking station attached. bought

Put smaller part of bag docking system on first. Seperate it from the other. It has to be pushed on past plastic lip around hole. It should feel very tight. Then attach larger part of bag dock onto the smaller one.

N2000 clean filter

The red guard goes on top of the foam after it is installed. The purpose of the red guard is to keep the bag from sucking down against the filter when you get a few inches of dirt in the bottom of the bag. If it sucks down against the filter the dirt in the bag will cause an airlfow restriction even though the bag is not full.

Popped the lid open to change vacuum cleaner bag...now lid won't close. It's stuck at 90 degree angle. Is a button to release it?

Hi bndennis,

Please check the spring on your lid, it may be keeping the door open. Miele vacuum cleaners mainly use a spring concept for keeping lids open - merely pushing it down will lock it at the bottom.

Kind Regards :-)

This silver metal triangle shaped thing popped out

I think it's a spring that goes on the bag holder itself... You have to sort of pop the bag holder up from it's hinges and see a little tab stick on the bottom, in the middle, pointing sideways. There's a little groove that the spring is supposed to line up with on one side, and if it's not in that place you put the spring on backwards and have to turn it around the other way so the end lines up. Then snap the holder back in, and make sure the spring is pushing against the vacuum so when it's in place, the holder pushes the bag up towards the lid. The spring is to keep the bag pressed up to the air intake, and doesn't push down very much.

The dust bag inside the outer zippered bag keeps coming loose and making a HUGE mess. does it lock down or something? Wife is ready to throw the whole thing away.

Hi
On most types there is a bayonet type fixing - 2 lugs that line up with 2 slots in the bag seal plate.
You usually need to rotate the bag 45 degrees to push the lugs into the bags plate, then rotate it so the bag is upright again.
This locks it in position.

When you have it working - clean the outer bag outside, as it will continue to throw dust out unless clean.

Hello, My Electrolux Renaissance is about 12 years old. It worked great for years, but now it keeps turning itself off...about every 15 seconds or so. The bag was just changed recently, too. Is there...

Odds are you have an obstruction somewhere. Check all of the hoses and the power head to ensure that there is nothing blocking your airflow.

Also note that if it keeps popping the front bag door open, that's usually indicative of either the bag being full or not being installed properly, which can give you the same results, so try taking the bag out and popping it back in just to make sure everything is aligned correctly.
