Hi! It seems that your out of harddisk space. That's why your computer memory also maxed out because your computer memory gets virtual space in your harddisk. Try to free up your harddisk or delete the unwanted files. GOOD LUCK

ALTERNATE WAY TO TRANSFER PHOTOS AND VIDEOS TO A COMPUTER
If your photos and videos are stored on the memory card, then remove the memory card from the camera and insert it into an USB memory card reader. Connect this USB memory card reader and memory card into the USB port of your working computer. Your computer will see this as an USB Mass Storage Device or an external storage device; you can then open the folder on the memory card and copy the photos and to your computer. Memory card reader is a handy device and is inexpensive. You can copy photos from other cameras and you can also download photos off your memory card to someone else's computer without the need of installing any programs.

What to do when it says internal memory full

Delete some pictures off you camera. It means that there is no more room on your memory.

Make sure to transfer them to a computer, before you delete them, as you wouldn't want to lose precious memories.

How to recover memory card

1. Do not save any new file to memory card.
2. Connect your card to computer. You should see memory card shown as a drive letter (like H:) in My Computer.
3. Download recovery software, recommended one is this photo recovery (simply because i was using it and it worked)

4. Install and open the photo recovery program, select your memory drive, and click 'Start' button to start scanning process which will find your deleted photos.

My camera had alot of pictures on them n i dont know if they are in my internal memory but when i go to take a picture it says internal memory full

Download all the photos to a computer. Then save them again from the computer to a DVD or an external hard drive or a USB flash memory. For safety always have two copies of the photos saved - one outside the computer. Then us the camera's settings dial or button to format the memory card to ERASE all the photos in the camera, and start taking more photos. Another solution is to buy another memory card and use it, but this is not the normal way to use a digital camera - the computer is the place to store the photos not the camera.

Downloading photos message says format this memory card. Will that erase the photos on the card?

Hi,

Yes, If you are getting the message then it will erase everything you have stored/saved on the memory card.

There are few possible reasons for this message.
1. Your memory card is full and does not has enough space to store new photos.
2. Your memory card is not fully detected or recognized hence it is asking you to format the card before downloading

There is simple solution to diagnose and find out the problem for both the reasons.

Click Start
Click on My Computer ( or Computer )
You should be able to find the Memory card drive and you should be able to open it
If you are not able to open and view the contents then your PC has not completely recognised the card.
If you are able to view the contents, your memory card is full and does not has space for more photos to store.

Hope this is helpful

My camera is saying that the ''internal memory is full'' -- it's a new card and only has 7-8 pictures on it! what's wrong?

Sounds like you have very large format photos on the memory card and it has reached the capacity of the card. Try setting the camera to a lower resolution if you need more photos in storage or get a larger capacity card. I use an 8GM card and have room for hundreds of photos at typical resolution.

I get a display saying File No. Full and the camera won't take any pictures

You have reached the max picture level in your camera internal memory. You will have to connect your camera to your computer, download the pictures and in your camera menu reformat the internal memory. Go buy a memory card. Memory cards of 1 to 2GB will hold hundreds of pictures.

SanDisk Memory Card

If ur card is over 2GB, the memory card reader may have a max memory size limit. if it does it is probably 2GB. Check the specs or try a smaller size card to test.
