Upon normal operation we press auto clean plus and it lights up along with start and heated drying buttons. We press heated drying to turn it off and the start light is not on as usual therefore wont start.

We have a Maytag Dishwasher that won't start. The only button that lights up is the "Heavy Wash" cyle. When this button is pressed, the "Heated Dry", "Sanatize" and "Extra Rinse" lights up. The dishwasher doesn't start. Eventually all of the lights go out. the buttons start/cancel do not light up.could you in some way help?

I had this same problem. I read on another blog that the manual recommends that you turn the power off to dishwasher. When you turn the washer back on, the lights still flash but then push the off button. The lights stopped flashing.

You have the lock activated. press and hold the HEATED DRY button for 3 seconds
