Does it move at all in the spin cycle? If it does, try to open the door during the spin cycle and tell me if the door opens or stays locked.

SOURCE: frigidaire stackable fills up and will not agitate

OK check to make sure that you don't have any "mechanical" issues that are stopping the motor/drive from working, then if, as i suspect it IS all OK, then most likely then it will be the main controller? Most often it is. However if you want to DIY, then you simply MUST obtain a service manual first. The follow the troubleshooting steps contained within. Also make sure you check ALL sensors, if they are all OK, then we are back to the main CCU. It may even be cost effective in the long run, to get a service call, from a professional, and ONLY ask for a "Quote" as to what's wrong, and how much it may cost, and simply go from there? Replacing things, "willy nilly" as we say, is NOT the best way to approach the problem, as already you have outlaid monies with NO result, so please give careful consideration as to how you proceede.

Washer wont spin or agitate why?

Using a multi meter check for continuity the door switch, which when bad may not allow agitation or spin. The lid switch assembly can fail either mechanically or electrically.
Check the clutch, brake assembly and transmission, one way to check for slipping is to get under the machine after a spin cycle ( this is if u get a lil spin but not much leaving clothes still wet) mix in a spray bottle a lil water and some dish detergent, then spray it on the clutch assembly ( the metal round pc. Connected to the tranny) if it sizzles and steams up then u know its bad and slipping. Another way to check clutch if u get no spin at all? Is to take it out and use ur hand to try and turn the inner spring assembly pushing it around the inside? If its very easy, it BAD should be hard to push by hand.

Next check the motor coupler which engages the tub and tranny to the motor. ( if its bad u usually get no wash or spin or very little of either)

Next check for a loose, worn or broken belt if belt driven.
On some front load models u may need to check the STATOR assembly.
The stator is essentially one half of a motor, it interacts with the tub by creating a strong electro-magnet. If the stator burns out the washer won't spin or agitate. Check the stator for continuity. This part is often misdiagnosed.

How can I use jumpers to test 131763202 Frigidaire door lock switch on washer? Won't agitate or spin.

Hi slogjlog - Often when a unit does not spin or agitate, it is because the unit cannot properly drain and dispose of the water and detergent solution. Does the unit make a humming noise? If so, the drainage hose/pump may be clogged and needs to be cleaned. If not, the washer may possibly be experiencing an issue with the door lock assembly, faulty pump, timer or control board not communicating correctly. Because it could be a number of any one of several underlying causes, I would recommend contacting a professional to properly diagnose and repair the unit.

Frigidaire FTF2140FS2 front loader-how to tell whether I need to replace the main control board or the motor control board. Machine won't spin, already replaced door lock switch, that's not it.

please see the causes with common sense, before to proceed to exchange some error parts. God bless you
Water Level Control / Pressure Switch
his is the most common reason a washer will agitate but not spin. To check this on most , with no water you should have continuity on pins 7&15. With the tub full 7&16 should have continuity. This video walks you thru checking another type of switch.

Lid Switch
This can be the problem for the washer not spinning . Most whirlpool styles this will effect both agitate and spin but some models will still agitate but not spin. This is easy to check. You will need to remove the switch, this varies with model type but the testing will be the same. When the lid is closed the switch should have continuity when the lid is opend the switch should have no continuity. If it differs replace the Lid Switch.

Timer
To check the timer you will need to refer to the wiring diagram or disassemble to access the motor. Check the leads from the timer to the motor when turned to a wash cycle this should have 120 volts. If not replace the Timer, if it does the timer is not the problem.

Motor
To check the motor you will need to disassemble the washer to access the motor. First you can check the motor windings, to do this remove the plug and connect ohmeter to terminals. Refer to the tech sheet or service manual for the proper reading. Check motor for shorts by connecting ohmeter to terminals and motor housing should have no continuity. Connect voltmeter to motor wire connector and check for voltage. You should have 120 volts, if you do and the motor does not run replace the motor. If it does not have power the problem is elsewhere.

Belt
If your washer is a belt drive type make sure the belt is tight. Check for black soot from belt wear. Replace if it has excessive wear or broke.

Motor Coupler
This is a fairly common problem with direct drive machines but inexpensive and easy to replace. The Motor Coupler transfers power from the motor to thetransmission. The following video will walk you through the replacement of the Motor Coupler.

Transmission
The transmission does not usually fail. To check this on a direct drive remove the motor and then turn tub inside. If it spins freely with no noise theproblem is elsewhere. If it is noisy it needs replacing this is expensive and depending on the age of your machine you may not want to replace it. On a belt drive remove the belts and spin tub.

Frigidaire stackable fills up and will not agitate but the final spin works fine. already replaced timer & pressure switch but it still wont agitate

Hello Jeremy,

Does the washer do anything on the agaitate cycle...and sounds being made or is it just sitting their till it drains and spins??

You ya hear what sounds like it should be agaitating yet it doesn't ya would need to check the agaitator drive block which is under the agaitator or also check the the transmission pulley

I want to say check the timer if no noise but i know its new so its a mechinal problem as opposed to a electrical one

Washer wont drin or spin

The problem is one of several things. Normally if the machine won't spin out
the problem is the lid switch. (They may seem ok but are often broken). Second is
that the timer point has become burnt and pulled off the timer switch itself.

If the washer agitates but doesn't spin, then replace the lid switch. Otherwise
I would first check the connector to the motor (Underneath the machine) for
obvious burn spot on the connector (the high speed pin) and if that is ok
then the timer has had a contact point fail and needs replacement. This machine is
direct drive so inspect the coupler when checking the connector. Hope this helps.

The agitator will not spin

Hi,
The problem will be in the pressure starter kindly check whether water stops after certain level and ready for washing,if it is OK means kindly check the wire connections from the operational panel to the motor, in most of the case the timer will not send signal to the motor for that kindly change the operational panel and check it
