SOURCE: I have a pride victory xl8. Problem - was running

All scooters have a protection system built in to prevent burning up the motor, and the user, should the scooter overheat. It sounds like yours overheated. If the temp. outside was warm to hot, and your weight is near the weight limit for the scooter, and you are taxing the motors over a hill, or unstable terrain, then the scooter goes into "limp home mode", or just enough to get you a bit aways, and then it will turn off. After a few minutes to cool off, it will go again, but shut down fairly quickly because it takes a spell to let the whole transaxle-motor assembly to get cool.

Check your weight, and anything else you may be carrying with you on the scooter. Check the terrain, and incline you are going against. Throttle down for all these occassions. If you overloaded the system at some point, then you may have overheated the brushes. Remove them (2) with a standard screwdriver and see if the copper coil is still flexible and springy. If not, replace it/them.

The damage may already be done, so it may need a new motor/transaxle assembly. An expensive proposition I'm afraid.

SOURCE: Having trouble with a 3-wheel Pride Mobility

Check that it is unplugged from the charger. Then check the freewheel lever to ensure it is in gear by placing it out of gear first, then placing it firmly in gear. Do this while the key is OFF. Wait three seconds, then turn back on and it should go.

If it doesn't, and you are sure it's in gear and unplugged from the charger, you should be getting a fault code flashing on the charger display. Consult your owners manual to determine the fault and proceed as recommended.

Here's a link to the owners manual if you've lost yours. Good luck.

SOURCE: My son has a pride

The throttle potentiometer, which the throttle lever is attached to, is a component that is very prone to wear. Often there is a bad or uneven surface on the sliding contacts that can give poor performance or surging throughout the throttle range. I have had to replace several during the warranty period. According to your beep code description there could be a bad or intermittant component or a loose wiring connection of the speed pot, throttle pot or front to rear harness. I usually replace the speed potentiometer and the throttle potentiometer at the same time because these two components are interconnected. There could be a loose connection in the front console or loose connector. It is also a good idea to check the front to rear wiring harness connectors and harness for cuts or shorts. This also gives a 7 beep code. Check for binding of the throttle lever on the console case and a bent throttle shaft and mounting bracket. If the scooter is less than a year old it should be covered under warranty. Keep in mind that replacing these components under warranty requires a factory certified tech at a dealer. I hope this helps.

SOURCE: pot speed and throttle speed beep code is

This is a very typical error code when the throttle potentiometer is out of neutral at start up. This is caused by wear or hitting or bending the throttle lever.
In my experience the best way to adjust the throttle pot is to clean it. I usually replace both the throttle potentiometer and speed potentiometer when they fail, cause an error beep, or they have dead spots. You can carefully remove these components by removing the covers and following the service procedures in the service manual. Very carefully take them apart to clean the wiper on the potentiometer with electronic spray contact cleaner (this is not in the service manual; use extreme care and do it delicately).
You can adjust the spring tension on the throttle potentiometer with careful bending.
You can first try to zero out the throttle pot by hand (even it out) and start the scooter to clear the error code. With your left hand adjust the lever left or right and with your right hand turn the scooter on. By trial and error you may be able to get this to work.
In both circumstances you will wind up replacing both components anyway and the fixes I have described are only temporary. Hope this helps.

Foot control does not work

Does it work by pushing the Start/Stop button. If so the problem is probably with the foot control. Make sure all connections are secure. You may need a new foot control. Contact your local Viking Dealer and try one of their foot controls to determine if it is indeed the foot control or something else. You can find your nearest authorized Viking Dealer from the Viking website - http://www.husqvarnaviking.com/us Click on Locate a Dealer for your local dealers.

If you don't have the owners manual; here is how to enter the code: There will be a button button that is either marked code or it will be the am/fm button. Press this button untill you here a beep. Then using the presets buttons 1-5

Can not reinstall os on mt acer 246lc it bleeps 4 times and swithes off

Without knowing what motherboard is in the unit - it will be difficult to determine what the 4 beeps means.

Generally, 4 beeps means issues with :

- memory
- video card
- keyboard
- motherboard failure

Things to try -

- make sure there is no keys stuck down
- remove the battery and AC adapter, remove and re-install the memory sticks (reseating the memory)

If this does not work, your problem may be more serious. Let us know the results of the above suggestions.

Motorola CP200, radio just beeps when im pressing any button.

It is possible your radio is not programmed, or has a bad/old battery.

It is normal for the side buttons 1 and 2 to beep when depressed to indicate you turned the feature on/off. Each of these buttons has the ability to be programmed a long and a short press feature.

If your radio beeps when your press the PTT button, on any or all channels, it indicates a low or nearly dead battery. Check your battery date code to see if the battery needs replaced.

If your radio emits a long tone on a channel, that channel is not programmed to function.

If your radio beeps a single beep when you turn it on, this is normal.

Charge your radio completely overnight, with the radio turned off. See if this solves the problem. If not, try a new/different battery to see if it will solve the issue. If not, drop by your local dealer and let them look at the unit.
