Does your PS3 have good ventilation? that sounds like overheating place it in an open environment but keep it out of extreme temps,If you still have troubles with your PlayStation 3 call 1-800-345-SONY (1-800-345-7669)---usually you can get it to work again by pressing the on and off button
repeatedly and in different number of combination’s like holding the
power button down for a few seconds, or quickly pressing it sometimes
it works after a few tries but sometimes it doesn’t at all. if you do happen to get it to work there is a reset system button

Hi, so if you try switching on the ds lite, nothing at all happens ?? Does the green light flash even if it is for like a split second. If it does then it is more likely top be a blown fuse. If 1 of your screens flicker also, this could be your problem as the ds will not start up with a broken screen. Please advise
I done this before and it works. 1. Start it up 2. After the "WARNING HEALTH AND SAFETY" (but before the Action Replay menu) Push "A"+"B"+"START"+"SELECT" That should completely reset it. Happy Fixing :u)
switch the hard switch off in the back of the ps3. unplug power cord... press and hold power button located on the front f the ps3 for approx 10 secs, then let it sit for a few, then hook it back up and turn the hard switch back on and try to power it back up.
I have had this happen once before but it did return to normal.
Your ribbon cable may be damaged or it might have come loose from the board. The LCD might also be bad. Either way the system would have to be taken apart and this is an undertaking on the DS. If it's under warrenty call Nintendo and have them replace it. If not you'll want to find a repair center. I've done these repairs many of times and unless you really know what you're doing with the DS it's easy to break it much worse than it started out. There are plenty of these on ebay where people have simply made it worse.
It wont be your DS causing the problem its the cartridge, ive got an Action Replay and it works like a charm, your best taking it back where you bought it from and get a replacement
the backlight is dead. Ihad the same problem with my original DS. This can be repaired but you will need to find a part source for a ds light backlight, try ebay. A lot of parts for newer consoles are hard to find. Even for me and I know how to repair a lot of it.Or try replacing the backlight with LED's
if yr DS is less than one year old, call nintendo and ask for an advanced replacement.... they are good about it and will explain the whole process to you....the number is 1.800.255.3700.... i think it is option three for DS problems, then zero, and the will set it up.... ive had it done like three times....
