Surging problem could be vacuum leak check all vacuum hoses on intake manifold.hook vacuum gauge to check engine vacuum could have intake manifold leak or could have bad spark plugs and wires.distributor cap and rotor need replacing.ignition timing off.if all is good clean fuel injectors and change fuel filter.if fuel pressure low or pump failing engine will surge real bad.if your air flow sensor bad or egr valve bad the check engine light will turn on.best have vechicle hook to code scanned check emission control system.many things cause engine surge dirty fuel injector faulty fuel pressure regulator have vechicle code scan to save from guessing spending way too much money.

Hi
Brake squeal..... water on brakes from car wash ?
Hissing noise.....Puncture ? you will soon know !
or possibly trapped water from car wash dripping on to the exhaust?
Can´t think of anything more.
See what happens in a few hours.
Good Luck !

SOURCE: Intermittent Power Loss
There are many things it could be but a few suggestions are to have the battery load checked (battery could be faulty), check for broken or corrosion wires, check fuses inside power distribution box (loose or corroded connections), and see if there might be an association with the ignition switch and your power lose. I dont think it applies to your issue but its not unheard of to have a faulty ignition switch. Good luck.
