I have a new DW433 belt sander from Dewalt. I purchased it long ago but it has never been used. When i put the Sanding Belt on and tried to use it, the belt would not turn. The drive belt is good and the motor turns it when i pull the trigger but the sanding belt will not turn. Not sure if their is some kind of clutch. Does not seem to be a direct drive. Any Thoughts?

You might try Dewalt. I have a Black & Decker weed eater that had a broken belt and I had to order it from Dewalt. I was told that they had some kind of merger. Ordered it and it worked just fine.

You can probably get an owners manual at www.retrevo.com It's a free site but requires registration (also free).

Unfortunatly that sleeve is not available, you will need to purchase a whole new drive wheel. The Drive wheel is $9.66 from DeWalt Service Net. Porter Cable, Delta & DeWalt are all owned by Stanley Black & Decker, you can contact DeWalt Factory Service for all parts. 1-800-4-DeWalt You can order the parts on-line, over the phone or though a local service center. Check the brushes for the motor they may have gone bad or broken, I have seen this happen before on dewalt tools.

the part number for the poly v belt is 406131330004 and you should be able to buy it direct from Dewalt at their website or find a local dealer thru their locator and or service stations listed there.

All sander will have two adjustments. The first is to release the sanding belt by retracting the position of one of the rollers. The second adjustment moves one of the rollers belt tension from side to side. The roller angular position is changed, sometime by a single knob or screw, and sometimes by two separate adjusting screws.
