My phaser 6180 color printer, the toner is not adhering to paper well and I just noticed that there are horizontal lines on the paper as well.
This is USUALLY poor quality remanufactured/compatible toners (that have a toner powder in them that is unsuitable for the Xerox 6180).
The horizontal lines are most likely to be a cartridge fault (the drum within the cartridge) - look carefully the line will match one of the cartridge colours.
It CAN also be a faulty fuser, particularly if the toner isn't fusing down a strip of the page. In THAT case the fuser heat lamp has a darkened patch on it.
If they are genuine XEROX toners, it will be the fuser.
If you've got non-Xerox toners (especially if you've just changed a toner cartridge, and everything was OK previously, it is likely to be the toner cartridge.
Hi.it could be your print cartridge.end of life.and very costly

I called Xerox and it seems that it's because the imaging unit is defective. They are seeding me one free of charge. Hope you can do the same...
SOURCE: My Phaser 6120 leaves light lines across the face
Lift out imaging unit and look down and back toward you, may need flash light, and you will see a 5" x 1/2" piece of glass. Carefully wipe it with soft cloth. Toner gets on this glass and creates the streaks. Often means a bad toner cartridge is leaking toner. Ron

If your Xerox Phaser 6180, 6180mfp, 6280, or 6280mfp is displaying "Replace Transfer Unit" or "Ready transfer Unit Life" you most likely need to replace the transfer unit.
For the 6180 and 6180mfp the part number is 675K47088. For the 6280 and 6280mfp the part number is 675K70583.Here is a video that shows you how to replace this part. It is very easy and requires no tools.
