without a proper model number it is guess work, but either the drive belt has snapped, or if the right wheel drive the left wheel, there may be a half moon key way or a shear pin. General help here, followed by parts suppliers
Hi Jesse: SPARK PLUG AIR GAP ON ALL MODELS IS
.030 (.762MM)NOTE: Not all spark plugs have the same heat range or reach. Using an incorrect spark plug can cause severe engine damage or poor performance. Tecumseh uses all three of the reaches shown.
Ta Da!
Check the gap on your plug when you put a new one and then check it after you run it normally. If it is smashed check your piston for a contact point where it was hitting the plug.
Check your manual for the correct plug type. They my have put the wrong on in and if you just keep putting in the same plug...
Call troy-bilt they are pretty good about service issues.
did it run out of gas when you added gas it could be that the fuel line has plugged up with something from the bottom of the tank take the fuel line off and try blowing threw it and take a air hose and blow out the carb and carb cleaner
Clean the carb and if this machine was kept outside all winter make sure no water in tank. I realize you stated that you removed old gas but how it was removed is the key. Try the carb thing first though.
1st I would drain the gas and put new in. It loses octane over time. Then try new spark plug. Also you may need a new diaphram in the carburetor. They are cheap and sell them at most hardware stores.
