SOURCE: Dryer tumbles won't heat

The problem could be related to one of the following; Not enough power from the house, a bad or broken heating element, a bad thermal fuse, or a brake in the wiring.

Solution
Check the house voltage for 220-240
Do a continuity test on the heating element.
Do OHM reading on thermal fuse.
Check wiring to heating element.

MOST PROBABLY THE CAPACITOR BESIDE THE MOTOR NEEDS REPLACED. http://www.buyspares.co.uk/tumble-dryer/tdv6w/capacitor/product.pl?pid=4058219&shop=bush&path=864668&refine=capacitor&model_ref=8702213

Hi Margaret, 4 months old? warrenty problem! it may also be a shorting temperature sensor. How old is the wiring in your abode? Possibly circuit breaker faulty.

My bush tdv6w vented tumble dryer is not heating up

If your dryer is an electric dryer, it is sounding like you have either a bad heating element or one of the two limit switches are open. The limit switch is an "overtemp" device to shut down the element if it gets too hot from air restriction. Lint build up in the blower and ducting is a major cause of restricted airflow across the heating element. Excessive tripping of the limit will result in an "open" limit switch and continual failure to generate heat. There should be one limit switch built into the heating package and the high limit will be located on the drum usually near the top, though there are some near the bottom of the drum as well. Any attempt to find and replace must be done with the power off as you are dealing with 240 volts.

If your dryer is gas fired, you've had a misfire probably due to a defective hot surface igniter or bad control module. Unless you are fairly capable of learning as you go, and have the basic tools for troubleshooting you probably need to call a sevice technician.

Bush tdv6w tumble dryer wont start just flashes lights and beeps

All these sound like good advice but in addition - there is a re-set button on the back of this machine, push it and see if the problem continues. If you still have the same problem after re- setting your machine please call their customer service line at 0345 640 2020.
