I want to remove the amana microwave and install a new microwave using existing brackets, screws, template etc. The old is an MVH220E/01. What makes and models will fit the existing hook up?

Well one would presume you could simply measure the bracket and the microwave, and ask a retailer for the dimensions of units with similar dimensions.
They may also have this bracket and be able to compare the sizes before purchasing your new one.
Not knowing the dimensions of either the bracket itself or the microwave, this would be the only solution i can think of.

SOURCE: Microwave installation
I'm a kitchen remodeler, and I've seen this problem with Kenmores (so it probably exists with some other brands too. The ones I have seen have the typical bolts through the top, but there's more. The flat mounting plate on the wall has an protruding piece that fits well into the body of the microwave when the unit is slid into place. It has a threaded hole in the end of the extension, and the sheet metal screw or bolt that goes into this is causing your anguish. To access this, you must remove the top front louvers (maybe some other trim plates as well). You'll eventually find the bolt that unscrews with a horizontal screwdriver. Underneath the microwave, on the right & left hand corner sides at the back, there are levers that you pull down & it releases the mounting bracket.

Hi,
Once the screws are removed... the front should drop down... then lift up in the back and then pull forward to remove from the back bracket...
