No HDMI video using RX-V575 Yamaha Receiver with Panasonic TV C-P60ST30

Michael, I still think it is a connection problem. Try disconnecting the HDMI and see if you get the video. If no, it is a connection problem. Check the connections carefully.

Your TV does support Audio Return Channel (ARC). Try connecting your Bluray player to HDMI 2 and your sound bar to HDMI 1(ARC). You will need to make sure that VIERA link is turned on in the Setup menu of the TV.

Can i connect my panasonic viera th-42px8ou plasma tv,to my vista desk top? my tv has hdmi on it,my vista tower also says it has 1 hdmi connector on the back of it

You can buy an HDMI to DVI adapter (around 20$) to connect your HDMI computer cable to your TV. You will need separates audios cables, right and left, to bring the sound to the TV.

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Unfortunately, size limitation of what could be attached prevents posting a connection diagram. Still, proposed connection scheme:
  • 4250HDC's HDMI to Panasonic's HDMI 1 or 2;
  • 4250HDC's VIDEO OUT to GoVideo's LINE IN 1 VIDEO;
  • 4250HDC's AUDIO OUT to 2 pcs of RCA Splitters (shown below);
  • 1 pair from the 2 splitters to GoVideo's LINE IN 1 R-AUDIO-L;
  • the other pair to Yamaha's LD/TV L & R;
  • GoVideo's LINE OUT VIDEO to Panasonic's VIDEO IN 1 VIDEO;
  • GoVideo's LINE OUT R-AUDIO-L to 2 more RCA Splitters;
  • 1 pair from the 2 splitters to Panasonic's VIDEO IN 1 L-AUDIO-R;
  • the other pair to Yamaha's VCR 1 IN L & R;
  • to watch cable TV in HD quality, set Panasonic to HDMI 1 or 2 by pressing Panasonic remote's INPUT button, then 3 (or 4), then OK;
  • to hear cable TV programs on Yamaha's speakers, set Yamaha to LD/TV;
  • to watch DVD or VHS, set Panasonic to Video 1 by pressing Panasonic remote's INPUT button, then 6, then OK;
  • to hear DVD or VHS on Yamaha's speakers, set Yamaha to VCR 1;
  • to record cable TV programs, press GoVideo remote's TV VIEW button a couple of times to cycle through the signal sources or until Line 1 is displayed.

The use of the splitter shown below would effectively double the AUDIO OUT of the cable box and the DVD/VCR combo to feed both the TV and the stereo. Additionally, this would allow use of the cable box and/or the DVD/VCR combo with or without the Yamaha.

Yamaha RX-V530 no OSD

There is no OSD on this unit. The Monitor Outputs are there in case you run video inputs to the receiver, which you don't.

Sony Viao HDMI to Panasonic Plasma TV HDMI Input handshake

Try all of your HDMI inputs, one may be rated at the correct voltage to be able to display the video. The offical part that Panasonic was giving for this was PDPHDMIKIT, its basically a HDMI extender that regulates the voltage. The part is still available online, try partstore.com or andrews-electronics.

Panasonic CT-32SF36 isn't getting video from A/V receiver

Hello, I hope this message can help you, After reviewing the Panasonic TV info, and the Yamaha reciever info., I have found on page 19 of your owners manual for the Yamaha reciecver that you can connect the the cable box HDMI cable to the reciever, but the reciever needs to connect to the T.V. HDMI.
I see your T.V. has S-video in and your reciever has S-video out, what about your cable box if it has S-video than I would connect all your device together through the S-video jacks.
A further note is you can't down grade the signal from the cable box through the reciever to the T.V., so even though the technology is there on your cable box, it's not there on the T.V.. On that note there is 2 options 1) buy a new T.V. with HDMI inputs. 2) connect the system together using S-video or component cables (RCA). It will give you almost the same quailty if you use good cables. I hope this will help you and I look forward to helping you in the future.

Yamaha reciever rx-v363

Thats because if you look in the owner's manual, it declares the fact that it will only broadcast sound from hdmi to monitor not speakers. For sound out of speakers need to connect additional audio cable.
