your usb hub is exceeding the power limit or you are attaching a device that is extracting more more , use a USB 2.0 port HUB with a power adapter if you are attaching more devices on hub

Windows display this message when a USB device is short-circuited. Try another USB cord or connect the usb to the port at the back of your pc. If it does not help then the problem resides in the printer. I will not suggest to dismantle your printer as there are no user serviceable parts inside.

Don't Use existing USB Portn On your Comp if u want USB port then install PCI USB Card From the PCI USB card you can use your USB Device what ever you want to use

Some USB devices draw excessive power from the USB port, especially USB scanners. When this happens you need a powered USB hub, connect this to your computer's USB port and connect the USB device into the powered USB hub, you should not have any further error power surge problems.

Problem :Overvoltage on USB hub port
Solution: Look carefully at that same port and you will four gold pins make sure they are NOT touching each other..

Some USB devices draw too much current from the computer's USB port and you get an exceed power error message.
To get around this problem, get a powered USB hub and connect it to the Computer's USB port and then connect the troublesome USB device into the powered USB hub.

The Safely Remove Hardware icon list all removeable devices regardless whether it is a USB or PCMCIA or a removeable CD/DVD drive etc.
To get around the problem with your USB device that exceeds the power limit of the computer's USB port. Get a powered USB hub and connect it to the computer's USB port and plug the USB device into the powered USB hub.

1st prob. - I appears there is a loose connection problem somewhere - try reseating your RAN and hard disk.
Try to determine which part of the laptop is causing the problem, not moving the laptop around the room but by flexing different parts of the laptop and power cable etc. while it is on your table.

2nd prob -

When you wake up a Microsoft Windows XP-based computer from hibernation or from standby, you may receive the following error message:

 

Power Surge on Hub Port: A USB Device has exceeded the power limits of its hub port. This error message is displayed even if there are no USB devices connected to the computer.   WORKAROUND loadTOCNode(1, 'workaround'); To work around this issue, disable the USB 2.0-enhanced host controller.

Note When you disable the USB 2.0-enhanced host controller, you lose USB 2.0 functionality. That is, you revert to USB 1.1 functionality.

To disable the USB 2.0-enhanced host controller, follow these steps: 1. Right-click My Computer, and then click Manage. 2. Under Computer Management (Local), click Device Manager. 3. In the Device Manager pane, expand Universal Serial Bus controllers. 4. Right-click the USB 2.0-enhanced host controller, and then click Disable.

Note The name of the USB 2.0-enhanced host controller may vary. 5. When you receive the confirmation message, click Yes. 6.

Close Device Manager.
