How do I do a master reset for my sidekick lx?

It says just Network lock only,You need to enter the Code if it locked Network mean.You can get the Unlock code at here

You can get the Unlock code from service provider and Unlock it.....

turn the phone off, once done hold the green and red buttons (call and end call) while holding the camara button and hold then on botton

THE ONLY OPTION FOR THIS IS A HARD RESET WHICH WILL DELETE ALL DATA.
Hard Reset
1. Press the Menu button.
2. Scroll to and select Settings
3. Scroll to and select System Info
4. Press the Menu, Shift and X keys simultaneiously.
5. Select Erase to erase the flash settings.
6. At the System Info screen, press the Menu, Shift and R keys simultaneously.
7. Select Erase to erase the Sign-In information.
8. Insert a paper clip in the reset hole while holding down the Power button.

Note: The device vibrates if all steps are performed correctl

You can not factory reset

you have to do a master reboot on the phone.. that will clear up the things that you cant erase... Hard reset:
1. Power off
2. Push both white dash keys and power up.
3. At T mobile screen it will change to black with writing and instructions.
4. Let go of soft keys and push send (follow directions on screen).
5. Formatted!

You will need to call T-mobile customer care and have them assign the IMEI number of the phone to your account. A master reset is also a good idea afterwards to clear off any old data.

1: my sidekick lx is allowinq 2 differnet codes into my privacy lock . for example i change my code and it still allows my old code to enter , & it allows my new code .... what do i do ?

2: my aim away messaqes arent workinq to be very lonq ....
other sidekick users have very lonqqqqq away messaqes & they show up , but when i make a lonq away messaqe it doesnt work... why is this ?

menu > settings > security > change lock code > apply master code in place of lock code and press ok > enter new code what you want

You can try this. It works on Sidekick 3's

1. at the same time hold the menu button (top left) and the jump button (bottom left)
2. This will bring you to the emergency screen (it gives you the option to make an emergency call)
3. Open to the keypad and hold in the menu+shift+q buttons at the same time.
4. The phone will reset and clear/unlock the security code

If that doesn't work you can trya Master Reset

1. Remove the battery and the SIM card from the device.
2. Flip the sidekick open; press and hold the letter 'r' on the keypad.
3. While holding the letter 'r', place the battery back in the device. DO NOT INSERT THE SIM CARD YET.
4. The sidekick will restart itself twice. Please make sure not to let the letter 'r' go until it has fully rebooted.
5. Once it has fully rebooted, remove the battery, re-insert the SIM card and battery and power up the device.
6. Once the device has fully rebooted, all prior information should be erased from the device and it should be restored back to the default factoy settings.
