Greetings. I have a eu2000 honda inverter with the following problem. The high generator runs too fast, when the idle is activated, slows down a bit, but does not increase

on the governor control back to the carby , there is a screw that adjusts the spring tension for the governor arm
that screw is the adjustment for engine operating rpm not the idle screw

My 2001 honda civic is idling at high rpm and when I release the gas while driving the speed doesn't slow very quickly and it's harder to break than usual. It also runs louder than usual. It's also co

You need to determine what's causing the fast idle as that's what's allowing the engine to run on (dieseling) after the ignition is turned off. Most likely cause is the throttle body needs to be cleaned along with whatever Honda uses to control idle speed commonly called Idle Air Control.

I have a 1992 Honda prelude that when it starts up it idles at 1100rpms fine but after it runs for like five minutes it drops idle to 900rpms and as soon as I hit the gas it stalls out..... It starts right...

on a cold start car will idle fast till it warms up then will drop to about 1000 rpm, try increacing idle speed so when it warms and drops it should stay idleing

have you tried adjusting it up at the throttle on the handle bar? move ruber dirt protector and with bike running just loosen the nut and screw in to idle down and re-tighten the nut. this should work....

Engine speed hunts on idle. Auto trans slow shift.

The fast idle valve is inside the throttle body. Sometimes it backs out and needs turned back in (it's threaded). This will cause the loping idle.

Get transmission filter changed with new fluid. Honda does not recommend transmission flushing.

1986 Honda Accord DX - too high idle on cold start

1986-1989 Honda Accord with Carburetor have a very bad habit that is little known even by most mechanics but easily fixed at home. The vacuum port on the choke opener that is connected to the intake manifold and both vacuum ports on the fast idle unloader get plugged up with nasty hard carbon almost as hard as metal. When this happens the choke sticks closed and the idle sticks on fast idle when the engine is cold and nobody can figure out why. All you have to do is attach a small drill bit to the end of a flexible socket-driver extension and put it in a variable speed drill that will let you run it real slow and carefully drill out the vacuum ports that are plugged. After they are nice and clean use a vacuum pump tester to make sure the choke opener and fast idle unloader are working before putting it all back together. It's amazing how much better the car runs after cleaning out those ports.

Rough idle(200-300RPM)off idle runs great no white smoke

Have you changed your fast idle valve or air idel control valve I would change the air idle valve because it is the one with an electric sensor.

1993 Civic idle changes until warmed up

this like many other hondas have a fast idle thermo valve located under throtle body or on the other side of the intake coolant runs thrue it you have to open it and adjust the plastic washer.
