Partially white screen, now whole screen is white

Screen colours are "additive".
They take some amount of each of the 3 "primary" colours, to make a specific colour. For example, 100% + 100% + 100% gives "white". Getting "pink" when you expect "white" means that you are getting 0% instead of 100% of one of the 3 colours.
Bad screen, or partially-broken cable between the "motherboard" and the screen.

Try the monitor with ANOTHER computer,

This will prove whether it is the Monitor at fault or not.

Change your resolution settings in System Preferences. Open System Preferences, and Open Displays. Then Click resolution size: Best for Display.

Very likely that the screen cable is damaged around hinge area. It has to be replaced. (just the cable, not the whole screen).

It sounds that the T'Con board has the fault. Check all the cable connections to LCD pane to T'Con board for firmness.

You need to go to service to replace LCD

What is happening to your laptop is the power line connecting a row of pixels is failing so only partial colors are showing up causing the vertical white line. Usually screen replacement is the only answer to fix it.
