I think the drain tube on my GE model GTS201 fridge is clogged as there is often water under bottom drawers and on floor in front of fridge. Also ice on bottom of freezer compartment. Do not know where drain tube is or how to unclog it. any sugestings. Thanks
The drain is behind the back panel in the freezer at the bottom. Sounds like it is frozen over which is pretty common. Will need to remove panel and thaw out drain by running hot water down. You can use a putty knife to break up ice first. Make sure you get all ice around the drain above and below the thin aluminum tray at the bottom. After the drain is free don't be alarmed if you get some water on the floor because the drain pan may not hold all of the water you ran down the drain. Not anything you can do to prevent this on this model.
Model # MTB2456AE
The freezer is working fine, but the refrigerator is warm!
Maytag Mod.# mtb2456aea water leak from back wall cleared drain tube but it still leaks from where wire housing goes into back wall! Can the housing be removed and if so how do you do it without damaging styrofoam it is wrapped around?

My GE Monogram freezer drawer has become iced up and clogged on the bottom several times over the years. I've always been able to fix it by following the steps in solution#1: turn off, break up & remove all ice & poor hot water down tray drain until water begins to drain efficiently again... But this time the hot water is not unclogging the drain. Could anything else be obstructing the drain besides ice? What next?
